THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT...Our clubs future is in great hands with our up and coming youth going from strength to strength and loving every opportunity to learn from our experienced lifesavers and competitors. What a magic day was shared with young and old at our club champs.
BUILDING UPDATEWe are underway! The new building
foundations are laid! If you havent trekked down the beach lately youll be pleased to know that the concrete slab and footings are complete.
The huge slab consisted of over 200 cubic metres of concrete. A consistent convey of 40 trucks kept the concrete coming in order to pour the slab.
Now that the slab and foundations are laid, the plumbing and electrical services will be ran in and construction of the tilt panel walls will be taking place over the coming weeks.

]NIPPER REPORTThe 2014/15 season has been
another great season with nearly 100 Nippers registered. Thank you for all the help and support with water safety, assisting in the kitchen and especially our group leaders.
Our three local carnivals at Seaspray, Woodside and Lakes Entrance were all very successful with the surf being kind. All carnivals had close to 50 competing nippers.
Eastern Regionals were held at Waratah Beach where we had 20 Nippers representing Seaspray. Despite some events not being run, we still had numerous nippers qualify for the state titles.
The weather wasnt kind to us for our Club Championships, but in true Seaspray spirit we braved the weather and conditions in the creek. There were a lot of close
results between our nippers for the title of age champion. The results were as follows:
U/8: Emma & Dean FeltisU/9: Ashley & Luca CentraU/10: Kate Ronchi & Finn
McDonald.U/11: Lillie Stobie & James
WiselyU/12: Grace Ronchi & Kai
McDonald.U/13 Georgina Anderson &
Thomas FlemingU/14: Ella Ronchi and Beau
Wisely.We are looking forward to
another successful season in 2015/16. To continue to make our Nippers program a great success we will be looking at making more roles available so the work load can be spread more evenly. If anyone is interested in taking over the Nippers Coordinator role or a smaller role please dont hesitate to Contact Mat or Emma.
CLUBBIE OF THE MONTH:
LEANNEMCDONALD
Leanne McDonald is best described as a quiet achiever. Few within the club would know and recognise the mammoth amount of work that she performs on a weekly basis. Not only is Leanne our Grants Coordinator, she has also taken on the huge role of club Treasurer. These are two very important and time consuming roles that Leanne diligently attends to. The numerous grants we have received over the years because of Leannes tireless work and application is amazing. There is never a task too large for Leanne to tackle. Thanks to her savviness, the clubs accounts have never looked in better shape.
Thanks for all your hard work Leanne!
