Metered material is gravity fed through the centrally located inlet of the "stator disc". Centrifugal forces accele-rate the mate-rial and launch it into the impact zone. The action created by the stationary and rotating pins creates a "treacherous path" for material to pass through. Achieving the desired tight particle size distribution is obtained by controlling the rotor speed. Varying the rotor speed between a few hundred rpm up to 5400 rpm provides the flexibility to use the machine as a coarse grinding or de-agglomerating unit as well as a fine grinding mill. Whether the machine is used for cracking wheat, grinding iron oxide powder, creating powdered sugar or as a cellulose fiber conditioner, large production throughput rates can be attained in an inexpensive, compact machine. It also fits in neatly after most flaking operations.

WEIGHBELT FEEDERSOver 50 years ago WOHWA developed the first weigh belt feeders. Since that time WOHWA produces all the components for all WOHWA weigh belt feeders in house at its factory in Germany.

The robust WOHWA weigh belt feeders are available in belt widths from 16” (400mm) to 56” (1400mm) to satisfy all customer requirements of capacity and can handle all varia-tions in material characteristics, flow characteristics and applications.

All weigh belt feeders are furnished with troughed belts or Flexo Well belts. Precise design eliminates forces that can have an influence on the accuracy of the belt scale.

Depending on the application and the material characteristics each feeder can be furnished with different WOHWA shut off sliding gates. Type 02, 03, 08 or 01.1 can be utilised to cover a wide range of variants.

The certified legal-for-trade WÖHWA belt scale can be used for belt conveyors with belt widths from 400 - 2000 mm and with a variety of belt loads and materials.

Each WÖHWA belt scale gets a primary adjustment at the factory and is supplied with a robust digital tachometer (measuring wheel) for measuring the belt speed. Sensor and bearing are hermetically sealed.

The belt scale can easily be tested and calibrated at any time using the WÖHWA supplied test weight.

Thanks to decades of experience, WÖHWA guarantees highest reliability for cost-effective production and a high weighing accuracy for its hopper scales used in handling bulk materials.

Since our scales are used predominantly for legal-for-trade purposes, highest precision during the manufacturing process is a matter of course.

"Loss-In-Weight" measurement is used to reclaim bulk materials with varying density from hoppers. This high-accuracy, continuous and gravimetric measurement is used to continu-ously adjust the speed of the feeder during discharging to keep the material flow constant.A precondition for this measurement method is the use of adjustable feeders like rotary valves or screws to control discharge rates.

Hybrid hopper scales have the additional advantage of adjusting the feeding rate during filling of the hoppers by using the weight values measured most recently.

WÖHWA Hopper Scales can be supplied for all hopper sizes with the customer-requested accu-racy. We can supply cost-efficient weighing systems from simple production control scales to high-accuracy hopper scales for the uranium or gold industry.

ELIMINATE PUMP OUTAGES FOREVER- Most pump forced outages are related to failure of their seals be that mechanical or rope seals.

- Our pumps do not have any seals - they have a special impeller that creates an air bubble that acts as a seal - this type of seal is called a hydro-dynamic seal. Our hydro-dynamic seal is backed up by another seal that only operates when the pump is not in operation - this seal opens up by centrifugal force and therefore it will last the life the pump. Please note that in certain processes any water that is injected into the system has to be subsequently evaporated - this is the single most expensive expense of running a pump with conventional seals.

The TRACERCO™ Smart Density Gauge is a non-intrusive, non-wetted field instrument which utilizes advanced nucleonic measurement technology. The instrument, which is a fully bespoke design, can easily be fitted to new production vessels or retrofitted onto exiting units.

A narrow beam from the radioactive source is directed though the vessel or pipe to a detec-tor mounted opposite. The beam will be attenuated by the vessel walls and the process medium. As attenuation by the walls is constant any variation in intensity at the detector willbe caused by the process medium. During calibration a density to intensity relationship is established which allows the signal processor to compute any density from the measured intensity at the detector.tion vessels or retrofitted onto exiting units.

Principle of Operation

The detector (PRI 116c-ATX) comprises a scintillator (crystal) and a high voltage photomulti-plier tube. Gamma radiation entering the crystal produces minute pulses of light at a frequency proportional to the intensity of radiation. The light pulses are detected by thephotocathode of the photomultisplier tube and converted to small voltage pulses. These are amplified within the tube to a size sensible for further amplification by the detectors electronic circuit.

Pulses of a standard height are then passed via the interconnecting cable to the PRI 160 HART interface. Because of the statistically random nature of this pulse stream, an integrat-ing factor (time constant) is applied. This steadier signal is computed into a figure fordensity. Temperature correction may be made before a final density figure is displayed and transmitted to the plant’s instrumentation.
