VICTORIAN TOY RIDING HORSEThe first toy riding horses were actually designed to help young lords and princes learn the basics of jousting and horseback combat. By Victorian times, riding toy horses had already transitioned into the iconic playroom centerpiece that we think of today. The full-sized horse is hand carved from top quality mahogany, which has been slightly, but artistically, distressed to give it that desirable well-loved and much used appearance. EVELYNMaggie Iacono summoned Evelyn straight out of the roaring twenties. The blonde Evelyn wears a wool felt dress of pale green and cream, and covers her shoulders with a hand-painted silk scarf with stitch embroidery and fringe. Her accessories? Cloche hat trimmed with felt flowers, strapped black high heels, and a clutch handbag. LITTLE BO PEEPLittle Bo Peep’s cream felt wide-brimmed hat is perfect for keeping the sun out of her eyes while she hunts for her lost sheep. Now the hat’s array of felt flowers? They’re just a beautiful perk. Peep also wears a voluminous Polonaise-style overdress consisting of a silk plaid overskirt which reveals a salmon pink underskirt with textural stripes. The bodice of the overdress is sea foam green felt with individual felt-covered buttons and elbow-length sleeves with deep lace flounces. | THE MAJESTIC FERRIS WHEELThe world was introduced to the Ferris Wheel in 1893 in Chicago and 120 years later Scott Nelles commemorated that event with his most audacious work yet. Standing over 2 feet tall (28”) the Majestic Ferris Wheel is constructed entirely of aluminum and bronze and features a functioning hand crank to spin the ferris wheel. Rests on a 15” square base. The Bronze Sculptures For Scott Nelles, the journey to artistry began in the 1970s when he took work in a small privately-owned foundry in the Pacific Northwest. Days spent boiling over industrial fires were followed by evenings simmering in a basement workshop. Time and devotion forged the artist that Scott Nelles became. Each bronze and aluminum sculpture is cast in a mold hand-sculpted by Nelles and then sandblasted and polished to a rich lustrous finish. Each is signed and dated by the artist.

Though the phrase "Steampunk" first originated in the 1980s, the roots of the genre were first established in the time period it emulates, the 1890s, with the works of early science fiction giants like H.G. Wells, Jules Verne, and Mary Shelley. Today the genre and its precepts can be found in every layer of entertainment and now, thanks to Pennsylvanian artists Jim and Tori Mullan, the genre has infiltrated classic American art pieces.

Jim and Tori's parallel love of antique watches and vintage toys drew them together over two decades ago, but their artistic endeavors bonded them for life. Artistic endeavors which include the adorning of antique metal pieces to wooden animal sculptures forming a striking juxtaposition. Each piece is as unique in its creation as it is in its originality, a surefire centerpiece for your home.

Because each wooden piece is adorned using unique antique pieces (such as binoculars and croquet balls) no two pieces are exactly alike. Each is signed and dated by the artist.

Wee Forest FolkFlorence & George is delighted to introduce a family of fanciful miniature mice, handcrafted in the USA. Annette Petersen crafted her first little mouse nearly four decades ago, and today is joined in the wee mouse world by Annette, Willy and Donna, the next generation of Petersens. They describe their creative process this way. "We make the mold, cast it, and a little mouse begins to emerge. Meticulous hand-painting and an enormous amount of patience and time brings each sculpture to life". All of the Wee Forest Folks are hand-crafted entirely in the small town of Carlisle, Massachusetts.

It was more than three decades ago

when Ute Bittl of Munich, Germany

discovered the treasured little world of

dollhouses and the objects and people

that live within. Her little homes within

a big house (her own, in a beautiful

wooded park in Munich) came to fill an

entire room, and then spread into every

other nook of her big home. And along

the way, came dolls, hundreds of them,

some small enough for the doll houses,

and those larger, displayed alongside

the doll rooms and houses in a magical

childhood scene.

These treasures, as well as other

wonderful rarities from European and

American private collectors are to be

auctioned in a 350 lot Marquis auction,

aptly titled “Home at Last.” Treasures

makers ranging from Bru to Schmitt

Yolando Bello DollsFROM HER OWN PERSONAL ARCHIVESWhen the beloved American doll artist issued her dolls in the 1980s and 1990s they were on everyone's "must have" list. The artist, herself, was presented the ten dolls of each model to be preserved in her personal archives. Only a few remain of these, and the artist has commissioned Florence and George to offer them to today's collectors. Each doll is mint in its original box with papers, and each will be presented with a document stating that the doll is from the private archives of Yolando Bello. Each document will be autographed by the artist.
