CHAPTER ONE,OR, THE TIME FLAT

GRIFFIN SHOWED UPAT MY DOORSTEP

“BZZZZZZZZZZT! This is your morning alarm! Good morning!”

“Huungh? Wehuh? Wat?” I said. “It’s the morning already?”

It was just another plain ‘ol day in New York City. Time to get out of bed.

But then, I noticed something odd...

There was an envelopepoking out from under my door!

I thought to myself...

“What could possibly be in this envelope?”

I decided to open it up, but with caution, not being used to hearing envelopes shout.

“FINALLY!” cried flat Griffin. “It was awfully cramped in there.”

“So what are we doing today? I sure hope it’s fun!” asked Flat Griffin

“Well I have to go to work,” I said. “But it’s pretty fun there. And after, we can explore!”

“Sounds good!” said Flat Griffin. “Let’s get ready for work!”

“You’re going to help me get ready for work?” I asked.

“YEP!” He responded.

CHAPTER TWO,OR, THE TIME FLAT GRIFFIN WENT TO

WORK WITH ME

“We’ve got to hurry!” We’re nearly late!”

“Brush! Brush! Brush!” He coached“Lather! Lather! Lather!” He shouted

“Keep lathering! Get the razor! Be quick, but be careful!” He chirped from over my shoulder.

“Hey, can you hand me my tie?” I asked. “Here you go!”“Thanks!”

“Hey, wait a minute!” I said. “I don’t even wear a tie to work!”“Oh well! Let’s Go!”

“This is it! Urban Zen!” I said.“Great! What Now?!” He asked.

“Well, I have to work for about eight or ten hours.” I said.“Okay. Let me see the games on your phone.” He said.

Many Hours Later...“Hey, it’s getting pretty late. Can we go on adventures now?” Flat Griffin asked.

CHAPTER THREE,OR, THE TIME FLAT

GRIFFIN AND I WENTON ADVENTURES

“Let me just... YEP! Time for some adventures! Let’s go!”

First, we went to Washington Square Park, where we saw...

Chess!“Want a game?” Flat Griffin asked the man sitting there. “Me and him versus you.”

After a long and very heated match, Flat Griffin cried out“Zugzwang! We’ve got you in a corner now!”

After a few more moves...“Checkmate! Good Game!”

“What now?” Asked Flat Griffin.“It’s a surprise!” I responded.

It wasn’t just the next location that was a surprise, though. An old friend met us at Grand Central Station.

Jordan Kalish!

AND Jason Cohen!

“Hey there, uh, uh wow Griffin. You, uh, uh, look, uh very FLAT!” Said Jordan.

We hung out with Jordan and Jason for a long while, but it was getting pretty late...

CHAPTER FOUR,OR, THE TIME FLAT

GRIFFIN WENT HOME

“I’m tired, Coleman! Can we go home now?”“Do you mean home? or HOME home?”

When Flat Griffin and I got to my apartment, we had a very serious conversation.

“Do you really have to go home now?” I asked.

“I want to stay, but I have to go back to school to be with all of the other flat kids.” said Flat Griffin, sadly.

“Also, I really miss my Mom, and my Dad, and PvZ, and even Gabe,” he added.

“Well, we can just get everyone to come visit you here! And I have PvZ on my phone.” I responded.

“I have to go. You just have to visit me if you miss me,” said Flat Griffin, as he got into his envelope.

“Well, okay.” I said.“ I’ll just have to come visit. Travel safe, Flat Griffin!”

A muffled voice came from the envelope...

“Priority Mail!”
