Until now we have been experiencing the touch screen technology as a premier one…
What will be the next technology?
Role of Gesture Technology in I-point 3D?
Introduction to I-Point 3D
o The ipoint 3D allows people to communicate with a 3D display through simple gestures without touching it.
o The heart of ipoint 3D is a recognition device, not much larger than a keyboard, that can be suspended from the ceiling above the user.
o Its two built in cameras detect hands and fingers in a real time and transmit the information.
GESTURE TECHNOLOGY
GESTURE RECOGNITION
• A Gesture is a motion of the body that contains information.
• It consists Transmitter, Receiver, cameras.
• A camera reads movement of human body and communicates the technology data to a computer that uses gestures as input to control devices or applications.
APPLICATIONS
Controlling the TV with a wave of the hand Future surgeons may use Robotic nurse Interactive shop window displays in the works Medical 3D- image display offers non-contact control
Controlling the TV
A wiggle of the fingers will change television channels
or turn the volume up or down
Future surgeons may use robotic nurse
Surgeons of the future might use a
system that recognizes hand
gestures as commands to control a
robotic scrub nurse or tell a
computer to display medical
images of the patient during an
operation.
Interactive window shopping
The proposed interactive shop window differs from existing touchscreen
technology by using a series of cameras to generate two stereo or 3D
images that are processed by visualization software to control the display
Medical 3D-image display
The physician can rotate the three- dimensional image and look
at it from all angles merely by pointing a finger
Conclusion
Ipoint3D is being used recently for better
experience.
Further exuberant usage of i-point
3D inelectronic gadgets opens us an
era of wide rang e of zappy
applications.
