ADD RICH MEDIA
Add Video and Image Links to your Profile
• Add Video to the Summary, Work and Education sections of your Profile.
• Add a Powerpoint Presentation to your profile using SlideShare.net.
• Update your status by adding the link to your latest blog post.
TIP 2: CONNECT & BUILD LISTS
Building Up Connections
• Old school Friends.• College Friends and staff
members.• Business Contacts.• Target Individuals.
MAKING NOTES AND SETTING REMINDERS
• Once you have added a contact you can make notes on their profile that only you can see.
• You can also set up reminders and call back.
• To access just click on the “star “ Relationship tab.
TAG PEOPLE
• Organise your contacts into lists by tagging them.
• You may want to organise prospects into Hot and Cold leads.
• Just click on the relationship tab and select the “Tag” option.
SEND PRIVATE MESSAGES
• You can send up to 50 of your contacts a message at a time on LinkedIn.
• NB. Make sure you un-tick the box that states “Allow recipients to see each other’s names and email addresses.
TIP 3: OPEN YOUR VIRTUAL MOUTH
• Update your status frequently.
• Tag individuals that you want to see your updates.
• Publish Content on LinkedIn.

Inbound marketing is the discipline of efficiently turning strangers into people that want to -- and should -- do business with you.
TAG PEOPLE IN YOUR UPDATES
• You can “Tag” your connections in your updates. This will ensure they see your message.
• To tag an individual in an update just use the @ key at the first few letters of their name.

Join and participate in Groups.
• Find Relevant Groups.• Make new Contacts.• Demonstrate your expertise.• Ask Questions.• Get advice from experts.• Be Seen and let new clients find
you.
TIP 5: SEARCH LINKEDIN
Develop business leads with LinkedIn Searches
• Search by Industry, location, title and job type.
• Save your top searches.
• Search groups.
