They just see things differently. And they know that love is a miracle... Synopsis June 1991, the last day of peace in Yugoslavia... Ratko, a totally colour-blind Bosnian guy, steals a truck for a joyride. Suzana, a Belgrade city girl, discovers she is pregnant and decides to take off to Dubrovnik before her abortion term. He almost runs her over... and they end up travelling together. Ethnic war is imminent - but the colour-blind 'moron' and the hot-tempered city girl cannot distinguish the differences among the opposing groups. When they get deeper into trouble, she wants to go home - but it's too late: the 'moron' is in love with her. There is no way back - she has to discover that 'love is a miracle' and that 'colours mean nothing'... Director's Statement A Balkan road-movie, set on the Last Day of ex-Yugoslvia, combines drama, comedy and romance in the form of an offbeat love story... A simple movie at a first glance. On a deeper level, colour-blindness as one of the "autistic" main character's features and his colour-blind "philosophy of life" are a metaphor and a mockery of the ethnic divisions which led to war. I believe that this deeply personal film offers an unusual and ironic view of serious issues. Srdjan TODOROVIĆRatko

Born in 1965 in Belgrade, Serbia (then Yugoslavia). He is one of theleading actors and greatest stars of Yugoslav and Serbian cinema ofhis generation.

He appeared in more than 20 feature films, including Underground(directed by Emir Kusturica, 1995), Black Cat White Cat (directed by E. Kusturica, 1998), Jagoda in Supermarket (directed by Goran Milić,2003), Absolute 100 (directed by Srdan Golubovic, 2001), War Live(directed by Darko Bajić, 2000), We Are Not Angels (directed bySrdjan Dragojević, 1992), The Rise and Fall of Rock'n'Roll(directed by Goran Gajić, Zoran Pezo and Vladimir Slavica, 1989), Déjà vu (directed by Goran Marković, 1987) and Red Coloured GreyTruck (2004).

He is also a musician, a drummer who performed with some distin-guished Yugoslav rock bands in the 80'.

Aleksandra BALMAZOVIĆSuzana

Born in 1978 in Celje, Slovenia. She graduated in acting from theAcademy of Arts, Belgrade, Serbia and Montenegro (thanYugoslavia).

She played in many stage plays in Slovenia, Croatia, and inBelgrade (Serbia) and Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina).She played main or important roles in feature films The LastSupper (directed by Vojko Anzeljc, 2001), Amir (directed by MihaČelar, 2002), Spare Parts (directed by Damjan Kozole, 2003 andscreened in competition at the Berlin International Film Festival2003) and Red Coloured Grey Truck (2004).

She has been selected the Slovenian Shooting Star of 2005 (a European Film Promotion initiative promoting new Europeanacting talents).

KOMUNA is one of the leading Serbian film production companies;most successful Serbian production company on international level.

Headed by Maksa Catovic, Komuna entered the feature film produc-tion in 1994 by co-producing Emir Kusturica's "Underground" whichwon the Palm d'Or at Cannes 1995. The co-production of Kusturica's "Black Cat White Cat" (1998) followed. Film won the Silver Lion in Venice 1998.

Among feature films that KOMUNA co-produced in last ten years,were also "The Saviour" (dir. Gaga Antonijević, 1996) in collaboration with Oliver Stone Production, and "Normal People" (dir. Oleg Novković 2000) co-produced by Pandora Film and ORB.
