farm-fresh eggs, fresh oven-roasted potatoes,

sausage, pastries, toast and more!

Beverages include coffee, tea and juice.

Tickets available at the door:

Ages 12 and up: $8.

Families: $30.

All proceeds benefit Mater Ecclesiae.

Please note: We regret that we have to increase the cost of our breakfast. This is the first increase since 2012,

even though the price of food has been increasing steadily over the years. But even with the small

increase, it is still a bargain to have a delicious fresh cooked, home-made breakfast when compared to

fast-food eateries and diners.

Could God be calling you to the Priesthood?

Come, consider the call. Father Michael Romano, Director of Vocations, is hosting a “Young Adult Priesthood Discernment Group” at Our Lady of Peace Parish Offices, 32 Carroll Avenue, Williamstown, NJ. If you are currently a junior or senior in high school, college student or in the professional world (up to 39 years old), and feel the possible call to the priesthood, this group can help you discern and pray with others who are also considering the priesthood. All meetings are on Sundays from 2:00-3:30 P.M. The schedule is as follows:

EMBER DAYS

Days of Fasting and Penance

Ember Days are on the Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday following the First Sunday in Lent and Pentecost Sunday, during the third full week of September, and after the Third Sunday of Advent.

They are days of fasting for the special sanctification of the four seasons and for obtaining God’s blessing on the clergy, for whose ordination the Ember Saturdays are specially set apart. The Propers of the Masses reflect the Season in which they occur and include additional Lessons said before the Gospel.

LESSON TWENTY-SIXTH:

On Matrimony

Q. 1049. May persons receive the Sacrament of Matrimony more than once?

A. Persons may receive the sacrament of Matrimony more than once, provided they are certain of the death of the former husband or wife and comply with the laws of the Church.

Q. 1050. Where and at what time of the day should Catholics be married?

A. Catholics should be married before the altar in the Church. They should be married in the morning, and with a Nuptial Mass if possible.

Q. 1051. What must never be forgotten by those who attend a marriage ceremony in the Church?

A. They who attend a marriage ceremony in the Church must never forget the presence of the Blessed Sacrament, and that all laughing, talking, or irreverence is forbidden then as at other times. Women must never enter into the presence of the Blessed Sacrament with uncovered heads, and their dress must be in keeping with the strict modesty that Our Lord's presence demands, no matter what worldly vanity or social manners may require.
