It was established by God under Moses

Can you name the other two great feast days?

(Hint we just celebrated one and three can be found in Leviticus 23)

The 3 Great Feast Days

Page 3: Feast of Harvest (2013)

The Feast of Pentecost has two additional names

The Feast of Weeks

• Because it occurs 7 weeks after the 7th day Sabbath during Passover

The Feast of Harvest

• During this time Israelites were required to offer their first fruits to God before they could eat of it

Why do you think it is also called Pentecost (Hint: definition of Pente)?

The Different Names

Page 4: Feast of Harvest (2013)

In order to know when to celebrate Pentecost you must first determine when the 7th day Sabbath occurs during Passover

If the 26th of March is the first day and the 1st of April is the last day, when is the 7th day sabbath?

Get your thinking caps on!

We still must give them today

They don’t consist of fine flour, wheat, or animals

They are the works that we do for God

An example is keeping the Sabbath day Holy!

Offerings

Your teacher does not accept dirt and food stains on your paper

If you want a good grade you give your best work

God is no different!!!!!!!

Can you name a way you give God your best work?????

REQUIREMENTS FOR OFFERINGS

Leviticus 10: 1-3And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the Lord, which he commanded them not

And there went out fire from the Lord , and devoured them, and they died before the Lord.

Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the Lord spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace

EVIDENCE

Page 9: Feast of Harvest (2013)

Did God seemed pleased by Aaron’s sons?

Would you like God to react like that to you?

What does the word sanctify and glorify mean?

How do we demonstrate (or show) God sanctification and glory?

Next lesson will be about leavening
