Fashion Merchandising Instructed by Ms. Vetter FASHION MERCHANDISING is a career-oriented class. This is the final class in the OCHS “Textile & Design” state approved program of study. Students will gain an understanding of the many fashion related careers available and the skills needed to be successful in them. Students will apply the skills learned to produce a variety of projects. Attendance and participation are necessary to apply learning’s to projects. Keep track of due dates in planner as they are noted on the whiteboard. Read and abide by “Vetter Values”. ATTENDANCE: (Refer to School Policy) Excused absence – It is the student’s responsibility to get make-up work ASAP. Attendance is closely linked to success in school so it is important that students build good habits of showing up, on time, daily to class. TARDIES are a disruption. Come in quietly and present teacher with an excused note. DUE DATES: It is expected that each student will meet designated deadlines. The purpose of this is to build the type of responsibility that is essential in becoming a successful person.

Late Assignments: Accepted through the day before a Unit Test. Test Retakes: All unit work must be completed and turned in to be

eligible for a Unit Test Retake. Test Retake dates will to be announced.

GRADE’S: Assignments (50%), Projects (30%), Test’s (20%). HOMEWORK: Students are expected to: read assigned chapters

prior to taking unit tests, finish assignments not completed in class.
