Road from Mahore to Jammu was closed till last reports came in. Meanwhile, heavy rains in Dudu and adjoining areas caused a house collapse and blockage of Sudhmahadev road, last night. It is reported that Kachha house of one Bishan Dass, son of Kirpa Ram of Dudu was damaged due to heavy rain. However, there was no loss of any life even as the house was badly damaged. Heavy rains also triggered massive landslide on roadside of village Chakan Ala resulting into blockage of road to Sudhmahadev for vehicular traffic. No accurate data on illegal migrants: Rijiju NEW DELHI, Aug 1: The Government has no “accurate data” regarding illegal migrants who have entered India, the Lok Sabha was informed today. Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju also said that any particular community cannot be “branded” for having alleged links with terrorists and terrorism. “We cannot say that,” he said dur- ing the Question Hour. He agreed that several illegal migrants have acquired docu- ments to make their stay in the country legal. Responding to supplemen- taries, he said since these people have entered the country in a “clandestine and surreptitious manner”, “naturally” official fig- ures would be impossible. The Centre has asked the States to set up special task forces in each of the districts for detec- tion, identification and intercep- tion of illegal migrants. The States also have powers under the 1946 Foreigners Act to deport illegal migrants. Detention centres have also been set up for detaining suspected illegal migrants, pending their deporta- tion. He said illegal migrants dis- turbed the demographic profile of certain areas and create problems. Responding to the issue of Rohingya refugees, he said they have concentrated themselves in Jammu and Kashmir. When asked by opposition members whether government has set up ‘concentration camps’ for them, he said no concentration camps have been established by the government but the refugees themselves have concentrated themselves there. (PTI) Frame charges against Bhatkal: Court NEW DELHI, Aug 1: A Delhi court today ordered framing of charges against Indian Mujahideen (IM) operative Yasin Bhatkal and 10 others in the 2010 Jama Masjid blast case. Additional Sessions Judge Sidharth Sharma, however, dis- charged three alleged members of the outfit, saying there was not enough evidence against them. The court discharged Syed Ismail Affaque, Abdus Saboor and Riyaz Ahmad Sayeedi, who were named in the charge sheet by the police. The case pertains to an explo- sion near the historic Jama Masjid here on September 19, 2010 soon after two suspected IM operatives had fired at a bus from which for- eign tourists were descending near a gate of the mosque. Today’s order came on the blast incident. The police had charge sheeted these suspected IM members, including its co-founder Yasin Bhatkal, in connection with the blast case and said these opera- tives had carried out the strike to dissuade foreign nations from participating in the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games. The police had also said IM operatives had planned that for- eign tourists found near Jama Masjid would be randomly shot and a bomb blast would be exe- cuted there for maximum casual- ty. It had claimed that Bhatkal had prepared a pressure cooker IED, which was planted in the car parked outside Jama Masjid, and an explosion had taken place. The court had on July 18 reserved its order on whether to put Bhatkal on trial in four sepa- rate terror cases, including the Jama Masjid blast case, after con- cluding the hearing of arguments on charges in the cases. Bhatkal was awarded the death penalty by a Special NIA Court in December last year in a case related to the 2013 Hyderabad bomb blasts, which had claimed 18 lives. "Kuldeep Raj (68) son of Safro Ram, resident of Paloura, was hit in the head with a brick by his son while his daughter-in-law thrashed him with her footwear over some issue when they came out of the Court after attending hearing of some case", police sources said. They said that Kuldeep Raj received serious injuries in his head and he was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where his condition was stated to be stable. A case in this connection was registered at police station Janipur against son and daughter-in-law of the victim. A Mahindra load carrier hit one pedestrian, who was walk- ing on the roadside near Chenani- Nashri tunnel around 12 noon today. Locals and police rushed to the spot and took the injured person CHC Chenani where doctors declared him as brought dead. As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Nagrota police station laid a naka and intercepted a Srinagar bound truck.
