WHAT IS A BREAST LIFT?

Breast lift or mastopexy surgery is designed to improve the shape and position of the breasts without necessarily reducing their size. Breast lift surgery is able to restore drooping or sagging breasts (ptosis) to a more youthful position, resulting in improved self-esteem and confidence.

Size is also a factor in ptosis, with large breasts dropping sooner than those that are smaller.

Sagging breasts often appear empty and flat; a breast lift alone or in conjunction with breast augmentation will create a more full and perky look. In some cases an implant surgery on its own may be sufficient to create volume as well as lift.
