Auch 2019 bietet der Lecher Bergsommer ein abwechslungsreiches kultu-relles und sportliches Veranstaltungsprogramm vor der traumhaften Berg-kulisse des Arlbergs. Wir freuen uns besonders auf Highlights wie unsere Oldtimerrallye, die Public Health-Veranstaltung Medicinicum Lech oder das musikalische Highlight des Sommers – das Lech Classic Festival. Neu im Sommer 2019: „Der Weiße Ring - Die Trailchallenge“ - eine Trailrun-ning-Veranstaltung, die auf der Strecke der legendären Skirunde ausgetra-gen wird. Wir freuen uns auf einen abwechslungsreichen Eventsommer 2019 in Lech Zürs am Arlberg.

Lech Zürs am Arlberg is a popular destination for discerning nature and culture lovers as well as active holiday adventurers – both in summer and winter. In 2019, Lech‘s Alpine summer will once again offer a diverse calendar of cultural and sport events in front of the spectacular mountain backdrop of the Arlberg. We are looking forward on a summer full of events like Arlberg Classic Car Rally, Lech Classic Fes-tival or the new trailrunning event: „The White Ring - The Trailchallenge“.

Wie klingt Lech? Jeder Ort hat beim genauen Hinhören seine individuelle Klanglandschaft, mit ihrem saisonalen Rhythmus, ihren Geräuschen und verschiedenen Sprachen. Die aktuelle Sonderausstellung des Lechmuseums erzählt von den lauten und leisen Seiten des Ortes, von gegenwärtigen und vergangenen Klängen. In Kooperation mit dem vorarlberg museum ist eine multimediale Glocken-Installation mit Zuhilfenahme von „Virtual Reality Brillen“ integriert. Ein reichhaltiges Veranstaltungsprogramm drinnen und draußen vertieft verschiedenste Aspekte der Klänge.

The Rüfikopf panoramic mountain is the perfect destination for food-lovers and wal-kers alike. Many walking trails – Grüner Ring, Geoweg, Monzabonsee, Rüfispitze – start from the mountain station of the Rüfikopf cable car. The viewing platform has breathtaking, 360-degree panoramic views stretching off into the distance. 10 Jahre Arlberg Classic Car Rally - 10 Jahre mit Freunden durch alpine Traumkulissen - 10 Jahre Oldtimerfahrfreude in Lech am Arlberg. Im Som-mer 2019 feiert eine Rally das zehnjährige Jubiläum und freut sich auf alte Bekannte und neue Gesichter um den runden Geburtstag entsprechend zu feiern. Das Aufkommen historischer Fahrzeuge und Raritäten ist imposant, Meilensteine der Automobilgeschichte bilden ein Starterfeld, das selbst Kenner der Szene in Aufregung versetzt. 2019 erwartet die Gäste wieder eine fulminante Arlberg Classic Car Rally. Unter dem Motto „Mit Freunden durch alpine Traumkulissen“ kurven die herrlichen Zeugnisse automobiler Baukunst vom 27. Juni bis 30. Juni durch atemberaubendes alpines Gelände des Arlberggebietes.

Das Medicinicum Lech 2019 rückt einen vernachlässigten aber fundamen-talen Faktor für Gesundheit und Wohlbefinden ins Zentrum: unsere Um-welt in einem umfassenden Sinn und damit das Verhältnis von Ökologie und Ökonomie als Schlüsselfrage unserer Zukunft. Die Gesundheit be-ginnt bei der Umwelt und endet nicht selten durch ihre Einflüsse. Rund 20 % der Krankheits- und Todesfälle in Europa sind auf Umweltfaktoren zu-rückzuführen. Mit steigender Tendenz! Die Problemfelder sind vielschich-tig: Klimawandel, Massentierhaltung, Verlust der Biodiversität, Glyphosat, Dieselskandal, Verschwendung natürlicher Ressourcen oder in kurz: Eine profitorientierte, gierige, entfesselte Ökonomie. Immer lauter wird der Ruf nach einer Politik, die sich einer nachhaltigen Wechselbeziehung zwischen Mensch und Umwelt verpflichtet. Diese Zusammenhänge und vor allem positive Ansätze wie sie in Europa und vor allem Vorarlberg schon existie-ren, werden bewährt interdisziplinär von Ärzten, Medizinern, Ökonomen und Philosophen im Umfeld der vorbildlichen ökologischen Kulisse von Lech am Arlberg in spannenden Vorträgen mit Publikumsdiskussion erör-tert.

Am 13. Juli 2019 lädt Lech einmal mehr zum traditionellen Lecher Dorffest am Rüfiplatz. Eröffnet wird das Dorffest von der Alpenkapelle Bludenz, die mit ihren Stücken gleich zu Beginn für ordentliche Stimmung sorgen. Abends geht es mit der Band Alpenbrass Tirol weiter. Für das kulinarische Wohl sorgen wieder die Lecher Betriebe. Dazu kommen viel Musik, bunte Attraktionen für Groß und Klein.

On 13 July 2019, Lech will again be holding the traditional Lech Village Festival on the Rüfiplatz square. It will be opened, by the Alpine band Bludenz. The vari-ous catering establishments in Lech will satisfy your culinary needs. There will also be lots of music, and colourful attractions for young and old.

Ein Muss für alle Liebhaber volksmusikalischer Klänge ist der Lecher Mu-sikantentag am 27. Juli 2019. Nationale und internationale Künstler ver-wandeln Lech in eine Konzertbühne. Nach der Eröffnung auf dem Rüfi-kopfplatz spielen, singen und tanzen die Gruppen auf Hütten und Almen, auf sonnigen Hotelterrassen und in blühenden Gärten. Den Abschluss des Lecher Musikantentags bildet ein festlicher Gottesdienst, gefolgt von ei-nem geselligen Abend mit Musik und Tanz.

The Lech Musicians Day is a must for all folk music lovers and will take place on 27 July 2019. National and international artists will turn Lech into a concert stage. After the opening ceremony on Rüfikopfplatz square, the groups will sing and dance in mountain huts, on mountain pastures, on sunny hotel terraces and in gardens full of flowers. And to end Lech Musicians‘ Day, there will be a celebratory mass, followed by a convivial evening of music and dance.

Im Mittelpunkt des Musikevents steht Jazz in allen Varianten, aber auch Zeitgenössisches hat einen großen Stellenwert. Qualität und Authentizität der Musik sind für uns ausschlaggebend; so gastieren Jazzmusiker mitinternationalem Ruf. Das Besondere an der Jazzbühne ist auch deren Grö-ße: Mit maximal 200 BesucherInnen in der Postgarage haben die Konzerte doch einen familiären Charakter.

The focus at this musical event is on jazz in all its varieties, and great importance is also attached to contemporary music. As the quality and authenticity of the music is a crucial factor for us, the event will feature jazz musicians with an international reputation. A special aspect of the Jazz Stage is also its size, as concerts are restricted to a maximum of 200 visitors in the Postgarage, which gives them a very intimate atmosphere.

Sternschnuppen kann man mit viel Geduld und etwas Glück in jeder Nacht bewundern. Die Sternschnuppenausbeute ist übers Jahr ungleich verteilt. Zu den verlässlichsten Meteorströmen zählen die Perseiden. Zwischen dem 9. und 14. August darf man im Maximum jede Minute eine Sternschnuppe erwarten. Eine gute Gelegenheit Wünsche wahr werden zu lassen – denn der Volksmund weiß, dass bei jeder Sichtung ein Wunsch in Erfüllung ge-hen wird. Die beste Beobachtungszeit ist zwischen 22 Uhr und 4 Uhr mor-gens. Gehen Sie mit uns direkt auf dem Rüfikopf auf Sternschnuppenjagd!

With a little bit of luck and lots of patience, you will be able to see shooting stars almost every night. However, not every night during the year provides the same number of shooting stars. The Perseids rank among the most reliable meteor showers. Between 9 and 14 August one can expect to see a maximum of one shooting star every minute. A great chance to make a wish or two. After all, every sighting makes one wish come true, as they say. The best time to spot shooting stars is 10 pm to 4 am in the morning. Join our hunt for shooting stars on top of Rüfikopf!

„Vier Länder, zwei Läufer, eine Woche – der Traum!“ Der TRANSAL-PINE RUN, legendärer Etappenlauf über die Alpen, feiert vom 31. Au-gust – 7. September 2019 sein 15-jähriges Jubiläum. Der TRANSALPINE RUN ist eine der größten Herausforderungen für Läufer-Teams aus der ganzen Welt und das seit der Premiere in 2015. Der Startschuss für die fünfzehnte Auflage fällt am 31. August in Oberstdorf im Allgäu - dem Ort, an dem vor vierzehn Jahren alles begann. Danach geht’s in sieben Tagen durch Österreich über die Schweiz nach Italien. Lech am Arlberg ist der erste Etappenstopp am 31. August und empfängt alle Trailrunningteams mit tosendem Applaus.

Gore-Tex® Transalpine Run“Four countries, two runners, one week – one dream!” One of the most important stage races in the world, the GORE-TEX® Transalpine Run will be returning to the Western Route for 2019 and once again provide a fitting conclusion to what promises to be a spectacular trailrun season. The race in its 13th edition, comprising seven sta-ges lasting from 31st of August to 7th of September 2019. From there the more than 300 teams will take on one of the last great adventures, crossing the Alps on foot, via Austria and Switzerland before finishing in Italy. Lech am Arlberg is the first stop for the alpine run and is looking forward to welcome all trailrunners with a thun-derous applause.

Literatur in alpinen Räumen

Dass Sprache Kunst ist, steht bereits seit Jahrhunderten in den Ge-schichtsbüchern fest. Im medialen Zeitalter der Ablenkung fehlt uns den-noch leider zu oft die Zeit, uns auf Texte, Sprachkunst und Wortgewalt einzulassen – doch das hat jetzt ein Ende. Vom 07. bis 08. September finden in Lech Zürs die Lecher Literaturtage schon zum dritten Mal statt, für die es sich Zeit zu nehmen lohnt.

Literature in alpine spaces. The 3rd Lech Literature Days are an attempt to celebrate language as an art form within the scope of a symposium. Participants are encouraged to take time to become immersed in text, the art of language and eloquen-ce, far from the stresses of everyday life. Visitors will also have a chance to experience an exciting combination of art and nature, if they wish.

Bereits zum 9. Mal findet in mittlerweile 10 der 12 klassischen Alpenorte ein Turnier der „Best of the Alps“-Serie statt. Die Plätze gehören teilwei-se zu den traditionsreichsten Plätzen im Alpenraum und bieten Golfsport vom Feinsten. Landschaftlich einzigartig, garantiert der atemberaubende Blick auf Mont Blanc, Eiger-Nordwand, die Dolomiten und jetzt auch auf das Omeshorn in Lech höchsten Spielgenuss. Bei dem Best of the Alps Turnier am Arlberg werden die ersten 9 Loch in St. Anton gespielt und die zweiten 9 Loch am Golfplatz in Zug. Dazwischen sorgt die Halfway Verpflegung in St. Christoph für das leibliche Wohl.

The golf courses with a long tradition offer the best quality of golf sports embedded in the most amazing alpine landscapes of Mont Blanc, Eiger North Face, Dolomites and now als the Omeshorn in Lech am Arlberg. At the Best of the Alps tournament at the Arlberg the first 9 holes will be played in St. Anton and the second 9 holes at the golf course in Zug. Über Eliten wird wieder gesprochen. Die Eliten, so heißt es, agierten selbstgerecht und abgehoben, sie hätten den Kontakt zu den Sorgen und Nöten der Menschen verloren, sie trügen bei zur Spaltung der Gesell-schaft. Gleichzeitig mehren sich die Stimmen, die das Konzept der Elite verteidigen. Wer aber sind diese Eliten? Wie bilden sich Eliten und wer gehört dazu? Wie leben Sie? Wie denken Sie? An welchen Werten orientie-ren Sie sich? Und inwiefern stellen diese Werte ein Distinktionsmerkmal dar, das die Wenigen von den Vielen unterscheiden soll? Widerspricht die Vorstellung politischer, kultureller oder sozialer Eliten nicht überhaupt dem Konzept der Demokratie? Über diese brennenden Fragen und das Verhältnis von Eliten und Demokratie werden beim 23. Philosophicum Lech Philosophen, Soziologen und Kulturwissenschaftler vortragen und mit dem Publikum diskutieren.

The elites, it is said, act self-righteously and aloof, they lost track of the worries and needs of the people and contribute to the di-vision of society. At the same time, more and more commentators defend the concept of the elite. But who are those elites? How do elites form and who belongs to them? How do they live? How do they think? What values do they follow? And to what extent do these values represent a unique feature that is supposed to distinguish the few from the many? Does the thought of political, cultural and social elites collide with the concept of democracy? These hot topics and the relationship between elites and democracy will be discussed by philosophers, sociologists and cultural Scientists as well as the audience at the 23rd Philosophicum Lech.
