Above 350 km of marked hiking paths lead you through a uniquearea with majestic mountains, blooming Alpine meadows, fragrantforests, torrential streams and clear mountain lakes. With a littlebit of luck, you will see some chamois and ibex making their dare -devil leaps across the steep rock faces or whistling marmots at theside of the trail. Lech Riverbank Path: length as desired, Track No.: 10*From the outlying community of Omesberg along the banks of theRiver Lech to Zug. Continue along the riverbank to the Auerhahn orÄlpele restaurants. Several options of getting back with the hikers’bus.

Flühenweg – Circular Walking Tour: approx. 1.5 hrs, Track No.: 1*From the church via the outlying community of Anger to the edge of the forest and above the resort centre to the outlying communityof Ebra.

Engerle – Engerle Forest Path – Swimming Pool: approx. 1 hr,Track No.: 9*From the village fountain to the outlying community of Tannberg-Hinterwies, through the Rudtobel and the Engerle Forest to theswimming pool, then back along the Lech Riverbank Path.

Burgwald Path – Oberlech: approx. 1 hr, Track No.: 6a*Turn left at the chapel after the Lech bridge through the Burgwaldforest to Oberlech. You can either return to Lech by the cablecar orvia the Schlegelkopf.

Schlegelkopf – Oberlech – Lech: approx. 1 hr, Track No.: 7b/7/6Ascend on the Schlegelkopf lift past the Kriegerhorn valley stationto Oberlech. Local bus from the Mohnenfluh restaurant or a walkto the cablecar. You can also return to Lech via the Burgwald forestpath.

Schlegelkopf – Kriegeralpe: approx. 1 hr, Track No.: 7a/14a*Ascend on the Schlegelkopf lift and walk to the Petersboden. Con-tinue along the utility trail to the Kriegeralpe and Krieger ridge.

Oberlech – Lake Butzen: approx. 4.5 hrs, Track No.: 7/23/24From Oberlech over the Krieger ridge and Butzen ridge to the Lake Butzen, then back to Lech via the Mohnenfluh ridge.

Lech – Gstütalpe – Lake Spuller: approx. 3.5 hrs, Track No.: 11/55/61From Omesberg to Gstütalpe. Over the Stierloch to the Ravensbur-ger Cabin and return by hikers’ bus from the Lake Spuller.

Göppinger Cabin: approx. 2 hrs, Track No.: 64Take the hikers’ bus to the „Älpele“, ascent to Laubegg (1900 m)then on to the Göppinger Cabin.

Lech – Wöster ridge – Stuttgarter Cabin – Zürs: approx. 5.5 hrs,Track No.: 2/645/643From Stubenbach through the Wöstertäli to the Wöster ridge (2175m), over the Rauhekopf-Scharte to the Stuttgarter Cabin (2305 m)and back to Zürs. A detour to the Bockbach ridge (2336 m) is veryworthwhile.

Zürs – Madlochjoch – Ravensburger Cabin: approx. 4.5 hrs,Track No.: 601Local bus to Zürs, ascent to Lake Zürs and on to the Madlochjoch(2437 m); over the Roggalmulde to the Brazer Stafel and Ravens -burger Cabin. Return to Lech in the local bus from Lake Spuller.

Rüfikopf – Stuttgarter Cabin – Zürs: approx. 4 hrs, Track No.: 43/645/643Ascent on the Rüfikopf cable-car and hike over the Rauhekopf-Scharte to the Stuttgarter Cabin (2,305m), continue over the Tritt -alpe and follow the utility trail to Zürs. Return on the local bus.

These hiking tips are for experienced mountain hikers. Please note that the appropriate equipment and above all proper shoes are required on all hiking routes!

The air is particularly refreshing on a rainy day. That’s why youshould pack up your rain gear and enjoy some exercise in the openair. The trails described here are good to walk on in the rain tooand they lead past cosy inns where you can treat yourself to a well-earned reward.

Älpele – Zug – Lech (trail and road): approx. 2 hrsTake the hikers bus to the „Älpele“, turn left over the street to thehiking trail, the direction of „Zug“ from there to Lech.In extremely wet weather, it is recommended to walk the entiredistance on the road.

Bürstegg & back: approx.2 hrsTake the hikers’ bus to the „Güterweg Bürstegg“ stop, then walkalong the gravel road to the old Walser settlement.

Oberlech – Gipslöcher ( – Kriegeralpe): approx. 1.5 hrs Take the Bergbahn Oberlech cableway or local bus to the Schlössle,follow the goods access path from there to the Grubenalpe, crossover the Gipslöcher instructional trail and either return to the busstop via the Petersboden or drop in for a cosy refreshment at theKriegeralpe or at the Gasthof Mohnenfluh near the busstop. Headuphill towards the Kriegersattel (there and back approx. 1 hr.) Note: The Petersboden lift can be used to shorten the tour becauseit runs in bad weather.

Alpe Formarin – Freiburger Hütte: approx. 1 hr, Track No.: 62*Take the hikers’ bus to the Formarin Lake, then follow the utility trail along the Formarin Lake to the Freiburger Cabin (1,918 m).

Rüfikopf – Lake Monzabon – Zürs: approx. 2.5 hrs, Track No.: 44Make the ascent with the Rüfikopf cable-car before hiking over the Alpe Monzabon to the Trittalpe and then on to Zürs. Return to Lech on the local bus.

Oberlech – Lake Körbersee – Hochtannberg: approx. 3.5 hrs, Track No.: 8*Ascent with the Lech-Oberlech cablecar or the hikers’ bus. Hike over Gaisbühelalpe – Auenfeld to the Lake Körber, then on to Hoch-krumbach. Return to Lech on the local bus.

Gipslöcher (Nature Conservation Area): approx. 1.5 hrs, Track No.: 14*Take the local bus or cablecar to Oberlech and hike along the utility trail in the direction of „Grubenalpe“ until you get to the start of the signposted „Circular Hiking Trail“.

Ravensburger Cabin – Zug: approx. 3 hrs, Track No.: 601/55*Take the hikers’ bus to the Lake Spuller and hike up to the Ravens-burger Cabin, over the Stierloch-Joch to Zug. Return to Lech on thehikers’ bus or take the path along the banks of the Lech.

Attention: Partial handicaps at the lake Spuller because of a con-struction site at the concrete dam. Actual information at theLech Zürs Tourist Office, Phone 05583/2161-0.

Steffisalpe – Bürstegg: approx. 3.5 hrs, Track No.: 32/4Take the local bus to Warth and ascend on the Steffisalp lift. Hikearound the Wartherhorn to Bürstegg and Lech or to the Boden alpe.(Hikers’ bus to Lech).

Karbühel – Bürstegg – Bodenalpe: approx. 3.5 hrs, Track No.: 8/31/4Take the cablecar to Oberlech, then hike to Tannegg – Gaisbühel -alpe and up to the Auenfeld ridge. Carry on to Bürstegg and des-cend to the Bodenalpe. Local bus to Lech.

Petersboden – Krieger ridge – Zugertobel – Zug: approx. 2.5 hrs,Track No.: 14a/22Ascent on the cablecar and Petersboden lift and hike over the Krie-geralpe to the Krieger ridge. (A detour to the Kriegerhorn summitis very worthwhile). Through the Bergmähder to the Zugertobelthen follow the utility trail to Zug. Local bus to Lech.

Schlegelkopf – Lech: approx. 45 mins*Ascent on the Schlegelkopf lift and take an easy hike back over theRudalpe to Lech with a very nice view of the resort.

Hikers’ bus to Lake Spuller. Over the Plattnitzer Joch to the Gehrengrat and through the „Sea of Bolders“ and Formaletsch to the Freiburger Cabin. Return by hikers’ bus from Lake Formarin.

Oberlech – Göppinger Cabin – Älpele: approx. 5.5 hrs, Track No.: 7/23/24/25/64From Oberlech over the Krieger ridge to the Butzen ridge andthrough the Schnee valley to the Göppinger Cabin. Descent to theÄlpele and return by hikers’ bus.
