bee kind!Blooming summer may be over but our little buzzy friends still need our help. There are a few easy things you can do in your garden, balcony or allotment to give our hard working pollinators some well-earned winter support.
Join the Cross Pollination ProjectThis is an exciting new project offering free events, workshops, citizen science and volunteer opportunities all focused on helping bees and pollinating insects.
To find out more follow Cross Pollination Project on Facebook or contact the KHWP on 01580 212972.
Grow some plants that have long or late flowering seasons such as native ivy, Michaelmas daisy, and winter flowering hellebores.
Don’t be too tidy. Wilder areas of vegetation, wood piles, and compost heaps all offer micro-habitats for insects and other wildlife. Build a bee house!
