    NOTICES:

    Community Take-Away Night: We would like to invite all CTMS families to join us this Thursday for a socialevening to meet new families and catch up with other families from 5.00pm-7.00pm. Please bring takeaways for

    your family. The PTA will be supplying juice and a glass of wine for a donation and the Year 7/8s will be running a

    CTMS Caf selling slices of cake/coffee/supper. Please see attached flyer for more information.PTA: We are seeking new members for the CTMS Parent Teacher Association PTA. This is a wonderfulopportunity to be involved in our school community and to get to know other parents! The PTA meets informally acouple of times each term to discuss upcoming community events and ways they would like to support the students.Welcome: A warm welcome to Michael Johnson and Audrey McConnell and their families to CTMS. Michael andAudrey have joined Kauri homegroup.Congratulations! We would like to congratulate Suzanne Moran and her husband Greg who are expecting a baby inJuly.Thank you: A big thankyou to our Axford scholar families from USA who have attended CTMS over the past two

    years. They have got together and donated US$200 to CTMS in appreciation of their time with us. We will advisethe community in due course on how we intend to spend this donation.

    Board of Trustees (BOT) Minute-Taker: The Board of Trustees are seeking someone within our schoolcommunity to minute-take the BOT meetings. Meetings are run on an efficient time schedule beginning at 5.30pmand completing between 7-7.30pm. Two meetings take place teach term. This means 8 meetings in the year. If youhave the available time and are interested in supporting our BOT please contact Raewyn at the school office.Mathletics and Spellodrome: Most students have Mathletics and Spellodrome available to them now andhomegroup programmes will be well underway next week. This week we have been demonstrating the use of bothprogrammes in our homegroups in preparation for independent use at both home and in class.For those familiesstill to pay the annual Mathletics and Spellodrome, subscription is $45 and can be paid at the school office.Wellington City Library Visits: Kauri and Kahikatea have their first library visit for the year on Monday 14February. New children need to have returned their library permission slip before their class library card can beissued. Please remember to bring a library bag so that books can be safely carried back from the library. For those

    children who dont have a library bag the WCC Library have bags for sale at a reasonable cost.Ice Cream Containers needed: Please drop off any empty ice-cream containers in the art room.Long Term Plan: Please find attached our Long Term Plan for Term 1.

    School Agreement Topic: Currently we are developing our School Agreement as part of our Social Sciences topic.All the children are contributing their ideas on what kind of school they would like CTMS to be and are creatingagreements to support their ideas.School Information: A reminder to our new parents to familiarise themselves with the School Information link onour website. This A-Z link provides valuable information about our school organisation which might be a usefulguide for the first few weeks of school. Weekly Event Newsletters are also posted on our websitewww.ctms.school.nzAfter School Care needed: 6 year old girl needs after school care from 3pm-4pm, 4 afternoons per week(Tuesday-Friday). If you live near CTMS or Newlands and could help out 1-4 times a week, Id be grateful if youcould email me [email protected] to discuss days and reimbursement. Nanny-share arrangement could beconsidered also.
