annually worldwide. Höegh Autoliners has transportation contracts with many of the world’s vehicle
manufacturers, and is a leading carrier of second-hand vehicles, high and heavy construction equipment,
and other rolling stock. Our Pure Car/Truck Carrier service from Europe to Caribbean and North America is
operated by one of the most modern and flexible RoRo fleets in the market.
The Europe to Caribbean and the Americas trade
This trade covers the major Caribbean markets as well as Mexico and
the US East Coast with two monthly sailings from Europe.
Furthermore we serve a variety of Caribbean and Latin American
destinations via transhipment on our dedicated Caribbean short sea
service. Destinations not covered in the regular schedule are
evaluated on an inducement basis.
Höegh Autoliners in the Caribbean and the Americas
As the only Ro/Ro carrier to the French West Indies, Höegh Autoliners
has for several years been the market leader in the Caribbean for
transportation of vehicles from Europe. Our Commercial strategy is to
actively seek to expand our coverage in the area; both in the
Caribbean Sea and in Central and Latin America.
You will find representation of Höegh Autoliners in the Caribbean
islands and South America through our professional network of
agents. In the US and Mexico and South America we have our own
commercial and operational people who take care of your cargo at the
destination.
Cargo
Höegh Autoliners has for many years built a strong relationship with
leading European car manufacturers, for whom we ship new vehicles
to many of the destinations in this trade. In addition we focus strongly
on the High and Heavy and Breakbulk segments, where our
professional staff and modern vessels are ready to cater for a variety
of cargo. Many of our customers are also shipping used vehicles of all
sizes and this is an additional cargo segment where we have proven
strength in catering for the needs in the trade.
Our sophisticated RoRo vessels offer up to 5.3 meters free deck
height and can cater for cargo weighing up to 120 tonnes. The vessels
are able to handle a wide variety of rolling and non-rolling cargo. With
our rolltrailers ranging from 20 to 80 feet and offering a capacity up to
160 metric tonnes, we can cater for commodities such as trains, wind-
mill parts and breakbulk cargo.
Environment
Our culture is recognised by a deeply held belief in the necessity of
taking responsibility for the environment we operate. We not only
comply with environmental regulations, but take a more active
approach to find the most efficient solutions to further reduce our
environmental footprint. Höegh Autoliners is 9001 certified and our
Ship Management is ISO 14001 certified.
