FOR THE TEACHERS: The intention of this story is to introduce children in the Miro’s world, throughout an invented history on some aspects of the artists work. The story is divided into five phases, in which there are five Miro’s compositions that the children can complete with colors, according to your criterion, complete this way the adventure that we propose you. * EXPLANATIONS OF THE FIVE PHASES: A) THE EYES The eye is the image that Miro uses to indicate the presence of the man in his work. It is an eye with own existence that looks and attracts our sight, is a physical and vital presence, nucleus of the compositions and a marked element of his indiscreet insolence. Always it is painted with a very concrete function, here you are different eyes, sometimes alone and other times related with other things. The eye is the beginning from which we want to discover the whole rest.

B) THE ANIMALS Are treated always in the deformation of the imagination of which only it wants to suggest his presence to us but not to interpret his real form. For this some elements as: a beak, legs or the wings that acquire more importance and the deformation it is done depending on the aesthetic composition, so that sometimes only a part of the animal is sufficient.

C) THE INSECTS Are very important for Miro since it is in the habit of increasing their size. These offers to the author to play delicately with the small eyes, legs and hair, they are used as rhythmic balanced icons that they make us think about the grand of the life.

D) THE CONTELLATIONS The constellations in the outer space are the whole wealth of constructed forms and of molecular relation similar to the marine plankton. Stars, comets, the Sun, the moon, the astral paths form the dynamic expression of the creative game. The use of the black color in the constellations is because Miro is not interested in the luminosity, he is interested in the cosmic balance of many elements that form the language.

E) THE MEN When we refer to the men, the feminine shape is included since it is the most important element that differentiates the sex. On the other hand to the shapes there are attached all the organic possibilities of other elements. The metamorphosis is meaningful, like that it is possible to see the man - insect, the man - mountain, the man - thread, etc. As a whole, the characters do not have any relationship among them, there is no an intercommunication, but there is an evidence of playful contact and a conscience of desire and sympathy, marked by their own condition.

We believe that it is clear that in Miro’s whole work shapes are mixed and form a formal unit, from the smallest element as it can be a point up to the biggest surface of color. It might write from many interesting and complex aspects to level of the language, from the calligraphy to the gesture, from the peace to the tension, of the color and of his absence.

In the great city of Barcelona, there lived a child named Joan. He liked painting animals such as dogs, fish, cats and birds. What truly called his attention were the eyes of animals, because he could tell by their expressions if they were satisfied or sad, hungry or cold and if they wanted to play or were tired. For this reason he painted eyes in all possible forms: big eyes, small eyes, yellow eyes, eyes open, blue shut eyes, mysterious eyes and eyes of many colors.

Not only could Joan paint eyes. He could also draw all types of animals. However, he did not draw them as they were. Instead, he made them more fantastic, for example he would put three tails, five eyes, two noses, seven legs four ears and eight hairs on an animal. In this way, the animals were enjoying themselves more inside of Joan's pictures than in real life, and so they didn’t want to leave this happy and fantastic world where they could always fly and play … Joan’s world was a world of fantasy and illusion. 8

Joan also loved nature. He called the flowers, the leaves, the trees and all the insects who were enjoying this world of happiness, ups! He said to the heavy and gray stones:“ I will paint you with lots of colors, so you will be very beautiful.” He took the colors he was using and he painted big and small stones yellow, red, green, blue and orange. -”The stones had never been so nice!”

One day, Joan, took the animals and the insects to Paris. They went up to a great tower of iron ( The Eiffel tower) and he showed the immensity of the Universe to them. He showed them the moon and the Sun, the stars, the planets and satellites as well as the big constellations or groups of stars. And he said to them: " From this moment, you will form a part of our world. You will be able to travel with your imagination across the cosmos and will discover new worlds and will have big adventures, because all is possible if you really want it. " 12

Another day, they took another trip. They went to an island called Majorca. It was a calm place. Joan thought: - “all the animals, plants and stars will feel comfortable here ".The habitants of Majorca were humans: men, women children, who all seemed to be strange but were a good, calm and amusing people who enjoyed Joan's magic world. Soon they all formed a great community where the respect for the freedom of others was their shared belief.

It was a happy world. 14
