An exciting opp ortunity has aris en for a bili ngua l Eng-Fr Financia l Control ler to join a vibran tglobal Marketing company in Paris, with their head office based in Boston. This pos ition is astand alone role and the success ful candidate will be responsibl e for the accounting functionin the Paris office. You will p oss es a strong Accounting background, and previous experienceworking in small to medium size enterprises.
Role details
Prepare/support with the draft management accounts.Validate purchase invoices and log onto accounts system journal inp ut.Entering all bank receipts and payments.Bank reconciliations on a daily basis.Manage inter-company reconciliations.Create and track sales invoices.Negotiate payments with suppliers a nd obtain approval from the Commercial Director.Reconcile supplier statements.Support with the updating mo nthly budgets and m anaging the balance s heet/Bilan.Follow up with any statutory reporting, declarations or legal res ponsibi lities.Coordinate the recruitment process with HR in UK, as required.Drafting employee contracts, monitoring legal costs, see king HR suppo rt as required.Track staff movements; changes in s alaries an d roles etc.Producing management reports and assisting the Globa l Finance in UK on ad-hoctasks.
Skills and qua lifications:
Good communication skills in English and F rench.Minimum 5 years experience, some of which has been gained w orking in a standalone role, with reporting responsibilities to Global Finance funct ion.Proven ability in Management Accounts.Experienced in working with detailed s preadsheets a nd knows how to present data tobest effect.Can provide advice and input into the decision m aking process that is in thecommercial interests of the business. Remains aware of emerging practices andlooks to make impro vements to pr oces se s to imp r ove effect ivene ss .Excellent comm unica tion skills and can build effective working relationships withcolleagues across th e company.Excellent attention to detail.
Produces accurate work, task driven, organised, good problem solving skills.Competent in Excel.Part qualified or qual ified by experience.
