  • Marla J. says, “I haven’t tried too many new recipes during this time. We did cook with a different method - smoked a pork shoulder and some baked beans in cast iron skillet. Used our new Traeger smoker. I got tired of just roasting cauliflower so I made a cauliflower au gratin casserole. Cooked the cauliflower with a little bit of broccoli, red pepper, diced onion and garlic powder. After tender, I poured off liquid and added some half & half and smidge of butter. I added grated Asiago cheese to melt. Added to casserole dish with extra cheese and panko bread crumbs on top. Baked for about 20 minutes until browned. Pretty tasty for cauliflower! Sorry I didn’t measure. From this cookbook I made the Bourbon Maple Bacon Bites. A few simple ingredients but a little tricky to put together...but very tasty!! I realize these aren’t the most healthy foods but a lot of comfort there!!”

  • Elizabeth D. says she made 3 meals out of one meat. 1—baked ham, 2—stir fry w/leftover ham, vegetables, rice & eggs, and 3–use frozen

ham bone and leftover ham to make a bean soup.

Susan F. says, “ Here is a pic of pizza rustica, and the other is homemade hamburger buns. I never dreamed I would make my own burger and hot

dog buns, but we had none and were staying healthy at home, so I found a recipe and baked some. We have made them about once a

week since then and love them way more than store bought!”

  • Peggy B. says, “I used the recipe for the Cocoa

Pumpkin Brownies from the newsletter and from the Kenton Recorder the

Ginger Beer recipe by Rita Heikenfeld.”

Nancy Z. says, “Made a round steak dinner in the crockpot. Delish!”

  • Norita A. says, “I tried this recipe for the first time. I’ve never had Paella before. I fixed it in the crockpot/express pot.

    It was delicious.”

Mary S. says, “I am going to start this off with that something I was going to make this week ended up not being able to happen, be-cause my stove broke on Monday night!!! I was going to make a Poti-ca. You ask what is Potica well it is a Slovenia Nut Roll. We usually only have Potica on the holidays, and my mom usually makes it. So this would have only been the second time that I would have made Potica. I guess it will just have to wait for another day!!!”

  • Jackie W. says, “Made a new crockpot meal. Made banana pudding with grandson Liam.”
