• For example, The Charlotte MSA boasts nearly 5X the number of pump and compressor manufacturing jobs as the national average.
• Since 2012, 336 manufacturing companies have added 4,500 workers in Mecklenburg County.
• FDI is an important part of this. Since 2017, Advanced Manufacturing projects have accounted for 17% of chamber’s landed jobs and 48% of Chamber’s landed capital investment.
• Of those, 69% of jobs and 79% of capital investment has come from FDI companies.
