The University of the Commonwealth Caribbean (UCC) is Jamaica’s largest non-affiliated, privately held University offering professional Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes, as well as customized non-degree training programmes. UCC’s major academic disciplines currently include Business Administration, Law, Human Resource Management, Information Technology, Marketing, and Media & Communications, together with Tourism and Hospitality Management, amongst several others.

UCC’s Early College and Advanced Placement High School Programme (ECAP) is a new initiative that engages secondary school graduates transitioning into tertiary education. This programme addresses the concerns of thousands of high school graduates who are interested in pursuing a recognised associate degree programme upon the completion of their CXC examinations. This initiative will revolutionise education in Jamaica by providing prospective high school 10th/11th grade students with the opportunity to start an associate degree, gaining credits toward their future bachelor degree studies, and/or equipping them to engage productively in the workforce.
