Auction Information

Pre-Sale Tickets & Registration Tickets for Bash can be purchased on line at www.bloominbash.org/tickets/ and during preview week, Monday March 16th through Friday March 20th, at pick up and drop off in the Quinlan Room. Pre-registration will allow you to swipe your credit card ahead of time and skip cashiering lines on auction night. We use a secure credit card terminal that does not charge your card unless you are the winning bidder on auction night. If you do not win anything or make any purchases your credit card will be charged $0. If you do win or make purchases at the auction, you will be charged the appropriate amount and receive a receipt at check out.

Live Auction Live Auction items were selected by the Bash Committee and range from a beach vacation to unique artwork created by your children. The Auctioneers will lead the auction and items are displayed live or on-screen. When you want to place a bid or out-bid another, you hold up your bid number and make sure that the auctioneer acknowledges your bid. The bidding keeps going until the Auctioneer has called the final bidder.

If You Win the Bid At the end of the night you can check out with the cashier and pick up your receipt for the items you have won, along with any gift certificates or paperwork that goes with your winnings. Raffle tickets, Recycle Market and Bloomin’ Vineyard purchases will also be reflected on your receipt.

Games, Raffles, and Other Fun Things

Bloomin’ Vineyard’s Wheel of Wine Our Wheel of Wine is collected from your generous donations. Each bottle has a value of at least $20, and some much more then that. For $25 you can spin the wheel, and based on the color you land on, you choose a bottle from the shelf. If you land on a gold or silver wedge, you are guarenteed a great bottle valued between $50 and $100, if not more! Good Luck!

Classroom Basket Raffle Back by popular demand, each classroom has chosen a theme and has filled a basket to that theme. Tickets are $20 for 1 or $40 for 4. Raffle will take place during the live auction and you can take your basket home.

Recycle Market The recycled market stems from our children’s (and teachers for that matter) love of recycling and repurposing of just about anything we get our hands on. Some of the creations our kids have come up with over the years have inspired us to sell them at the Bloomin’ Bash. Some are simple fun and others more elaborate works of whimsy. We hope you love and admire these creative items as much as we do.

Classroom Go Bag Donation Each classroom has a “go bag” for the playground and in case of a drill or an emergency. Bags include a class list, first aid kit, and emergency medications for your child. Its now time to replace some of these bags, as they are worn through from age and use. Please consider a donation to help replace these with more sturdy backpacks, personalised with each classroom number. Estimated cost of each backpack is $39.95

Fund a Need

Help Our Library Grow Into a Magical Media Center Did you know that our little preschool library owns nearly $30,000 worth of children’s books? It all began in 2007 when a graduating class wanted to leave a lasting legacy of their preschool adventure. Led by a parent with a love of books, the preschool library's humble beginnings centered on parents purchasing books from the Scholastic Book Fair and donating gently used books. Since the days when the library was a couple of borrowed shelves in a Sunday school classroom, we have continually increased the number of books, moved the library into a permanent location, and invested in a computer to manage the ever expanding database. Recently we have begun to envision our little library as a media center, a place for preschoolers where elements of the nostalgic library meet the updated tools of the digital age.

Fund a Need Our nostalgic library wish list includes: (approximate cost $5,000)

• Floor to ceiling built-in book shelves where children’s books remain on their level and reference books, parenting books, and educator’s books and tools are at adult heights. And, a ladder, of course!

• The “treehouse” is installed to accommodate children’s reading nooks with reading lights both above and below. It will be a "magic treehouse" and the upper level will be accessed by stairs.

• More non-fiction picture and folio reference books for children’s exploration of science, art, and all their many questions about the world around them.

The wish list of digital updates (approximate cost $1750) include educator tools for exploring with children via a large screen when we want to watch the

eagle’s nest, praying mantis', bats, camels, sharks, a folk dance; (you name it, children's curiosity is limitless). In addition to tools for documenting and sharing with children, these tools are also for documenting and sharing information with families, and with other educators. That list includes:

• Two iPads to be used by educators for videotaping, taking photos and uploading and sharing information.

• An internet enabled big screen TV (wall mounted in the library) and an Apple TV for ease in sharing information with children.

• A projector (for meetings and classroom use).

Classroom Creations The Barefoot — Miss Lisa & Miss Beverly Explorers ages 2-3 “Barefoot Stampede” – Each one of the little Barefoot’s are represented in this collection of footprints! A great piece of artwork for your child’s room, to remember the fun they had creating this masterpiece. The tickling of toes as each foot was painted. The cool sensation of the paint oozing up between toes as each child walked along. Then the sill fun of standing in a bucket of soapy water as each foot was washed clean. The Caterpillars – Miss Elizabeth & Miss Hashi Discovery ages 2 & under Louise Nevelson inspired monochromatic “puzzle” boxes. Made of found objects, and then put together as a “shadow” box and then painted white and black. This is a great modern art piece for your home. You wouldn’t believe the time and care each child took as they glued and placed each object; such deliberate work from such tiny hands.

The Nest — Miss Susan, Miss Suz & Miss Laura Young 5’s ages 5-6 “The Mantis” - Abstract artwork inspired by the classroom praying mantis project that took the Nest class by storm. Each child cut and designed a mantis of their own from wall paper pieces.
