CHAIR FOREWORDMyself and the board of DBNSW wish everyone inour community a very warm welcome to the2018/2019 season.

The coming season will be Year One of the 2018-2020 strategic plan and we have some greattargets set out in the roadmap for all ourcommunity to strive for.

The roadshows in May and June 2018 were a greatopportunity for all to learn about the excitingthings in store for the sport, meet with the staffand board of DBNSW and share their feedback onhow we can continue to improve this great sportof ours.

Here’s to our wonderful community of paddlers,volunteers, officials, sweeps, coaches anddrummers continuing to do great things for thefantastic sport of dragon boating – have a greatyear of paddling!

MEMBERSHIP & INSURANCEInsuranceInsurance cover is provided to affiliated clubs and individual members of Dragon Boats NSW. Insured parties may include paddlers, coaches, sweeps, volunteers and committee members.

Cover includes personal accident, public liability and professional indemnity during activities sanctioned by AusDBF & state bodies such as training, regattas, meetings, travel to and from activities (domestic), fundraising, sweeping, coaching, etc.

Grace Period

A registered individual member has access to insurance coverage once payment for DBNSW state registration fees have been received either by DBNSW or the member’s club. Members are able to register/renew from July 1st 2018.

A two-week grace period will be provided to all 2017/18 members headed into the new season (18/19). This will allow them to continue to have coverage up until Sunday 15th July 2018. After this date the member must renew to continue to be provided with insurance cover for the remainder of the 2018/19 season. This does not apply to brand new members, only those renewing.

Individual Fees

Adult Membership (over 18 years) $120.00 pp Individual association fee with the state body for those over the age of 18 years.

Junior Membership (12 – 17 years) $60.00 pp Individual association fee with the state body for those under the age of 18 years.

Adult Regatta Entry Regular Fee$40.00 pp

Late Fee$75.00 pp

Entry fee into a DBNSW operated regatta for an adult.

All fees are payable to DBNSW via the paddler’s club by the advertised entry payment deadline. Entry fees paid after the deadline will be charged at the late fee rate.

No refunds after deadline date.

Junior Regatta Entry Regular Fee$17.00 pp

Late Fee$35.00 pp

Entry fee into a DBNSW operated regatta for a junior.

All fees are payable to DBNSW via the paddler’s club by the advertised entry payment deadline. Entry fees paid after the deadline will be charged at the late fee rate.

No refunds after deadline date.

Club Affiliation $820.00 per club Club affiliation fee with the state body.

Boat Hire (Full Season) $1,260.00 per boat Boat Hire for affiliated clubs (valid 1 July – 30 June).

Boat Hire (Club – One Off) $175.00 per boat Hire of a DBNSW boat for a one off-session. Only available to DBNSW affiliated clubs.

Bank St Levy $590.00 per boat hired/stored All affiliated clubs that hire a boat that is stored and/or used at Bank St will be levied for each boat rented.

Corporate Training Session $250.00 per session One-off training session for businesses, organisations and social groups.

Non-Member Temporary Personal Accident Cover $6.80 pp Temporary one-off insurance cover for non-members participating in a regatta.

Regatta Application Fee $50.00 Fee to be paid alongside each club submitted accredited regatta application form.

Accredited Regatta Fee $550.00 Fee payable by Affiliated clubs who operate their own regatta as a DBNSW accredited event.

Includes:Access to $20mil regatta PLISweep & Official accreditationWebsite advertisement

Northern Region Trailer Levy $180.00 Fee Payable by all Northern Region Clubs.

VOLUNTEERINGVolunteering

Dragon Boats NSW relies heavily on the support of itscommunity in running regattas. We are now calling onthe assistance of volunteers for the upcoming 2018 -2019 season.

Volunteering is a great way to support your club and theDBNSW community.

Those interested in volunteering at our regattas cancomplete an online nomination form here.

In the weeks leading up to a regatta selected volunteerswill be sent an email requesting confirmation of theirattendance. A final email will be sent to volunteers theweek prior to the regatta containing a job allocationroster and further information.

Transport & accommodation is arranged for volunteersand officials at regattas that are of significant distancefrom Sydney (i.e. Wagga Wagga, Orange).
