Alterations due to TV-coverage or any other reason are possible and will be announced by the
Referee. The above order of play may be changed at the discretion of the Referee.
All events will be on a strict timetable system. Competitors who are not ready to play at the time
for which their match is scheduled will be scratched.
5.0 TROPHY/ MEDALS
Medals will be awarded to all winners, runners-up and 2 losing semi-finalists.
For Team Championships all winners, runners-up and 2 losing semi-finalists will be awarded
with 20 Medals per winning team. The Challenge Trophy will be awarded to the Champion of
Mixed Team Event.
6.0 EVENTS
6.1 The Mixed Team Event shall comprise of:-
One Men’s Singles
One Women’s Singles
One Men’s Doubles
One Women’s Doubles
One Mixed Doubles
The Competition shall be played in two stages:-
First Stage
All Teams shall be placed in four groups to play on a round robin basis. The number
of Sub-Groups will depend on the number of participating Teams.
An overall ranking order in the group shall be achieved according to the BWF
General Competition Regulation 16.
Final Stage
1st and 2nd ranked teams from each group will qualify for the final stage
The final stage shall be played on a knock-out basis.
The matches for ranking competition shall not be played.
No player shall play in more than two matches in each Tie.
Each Team must nominate a minimum of 2 men and 2 women for the Mixed Team
Championships.
Each Team can nominate a maximum of 8 men and 8 women for the Mixed Team
Championship. The medals will be given to a maximum of this number.
Each Team must nominate a minimum of 4 players for each Tie (2 men and 2 women).
6.2 The Individual Championships comprise of Men’s Singles and Doubles, Women’s Singles
and Doubles and Mixed Doubles.
Each Member Association will be entitled to enter a maximum of:-
7.0 AGE ELIGIBILITY
All players must be under 19 years old throughout the calendar year of the tournament. i.e. born
on or after 1st January 2000. The minimum age for all players shall be 14 years old i.e. born
on or before 31st December 2004
All players MUST have a BWF Player’s ID before submission of the entries.
Players with no BWF ID must contact their National Association Accordingly.

10.0 REGULATIONS
Mixed Team Championships:
The Regulations for Suhandinata Cup and the General Competition Regulations shall be
applicable for the conduct of the Mixed Team Championships. The General Competition
Regulations will apply except where specific provisions are contained in the Regulations for
Suhandinata Cup. Where there is any conflict or apparent conflict, the Suhandinata Cup
Regulation(s) shall take precedence. In the event of any dispute, the decision of the Tournament
Referee will be final.
Individual Championships:
The Regulations for EYE LEVEL cups and the General Competition Regulations of BWF shall
be applicable for the conduct of the Championships. The General Competition Regulations will
apply except where specific provisions are contained in the Regulations for EYE LEVEL cups.
Where there is any conflict or apparent conflict, the EYE LEVEL cups Regulation(s) shall take
precedence. In the event of any dispute, the decision of the Tournament Referee will be final.
Important Note:
Badminton Asia reserve the rights to determine the number of group(s) and the size of each
group for the Team Event based on the number of participating teams.
Badminton Asia reserve the rights to determine the size of the draw for the Knock-Out
Stage accordingly based on the number participating teams.
Badminton Asia reserve the rights for final decision for any matter related to the
championships
11.0 WITHDRAWALS
Withdrawal:-
Withdrawals must be informed by an e-mail to [email protected] and the
tournament referee at [email protected] as soon as possible.
Withdrawals prior to the tournament, must be accompanied by an appropriate
certification.
Withdrawals after Monday, 25th June 2018 will be processed in the Team Managers’
Meeting.
Withdrawals after the draw is made due to illness or injury must be supported by a
medical certificate.
Withdrawals after players arrive in venue city, notification of withdrawal must be made
by the Team Manager to the Referee in writing.
12.0 FORMAT OF PLAY
Mixed Team Event
12.1 The Badminton Asia Junior Mixed Team Championships shall be played in two stages: a
First Stage on Round Robin basis and, then the top 2 teams from the each group to
qualify for the Final Stage to play on a Knock out basis.
The top 2 teams from each group will advance to the knock out stage, where a draw will
be made after the completion of the last match of the Group Stage. The condition of the
draw is where the teams from the same group shall not be drawn to meet in the first round
in the knock out stage.

12.3 First Stage Draw’s Methodology
1. Team of 16 will be Drawn into 4 Groups
(Group A, Group B, Group C and D)
2. Draws shall be conducted following by Badminton Asia.
3. Top 2 ranked teams shall be dealt with as follows:
I. No. 1 placed at the top of Group A
II. No. 2 placed at the top of Group D
4. The other ranked teams shall be dealt with as follows:
I. No. 3 and No. 4 drawn by lot at the top of Group B and C
II. No. 5 to 8 drawn by lot at the second position of the groups
III. No. 9 to 12 drawn by lot at the third position of the groups
IV. No. 13 to 16 drawn by lot at the fourth position of the groups.

12.5 Final Stage Draw’s Methodology
The Teams will be dealt with as follows:
I. Seed 1 and 2 will be place in Position 1 and 8
II. Seed 3 and 4 will be drawn into Position 3 and 6
III. The remaining teams will be drawn into Position 2, 4, 5, 7 accordingly.
IV. Teams from the same group will not be drawn to play in the First Round (Quarter
Finals) in the knock out draw.
Individual Events
12.6 Badminton Asia Junior Individual Championships will be played in Knock out Format.
Scoring System
Rally point system of 3 games x 21 points will be used as the scoring system in ALL matches in
this Championships.

14.0 TEAM MANAGER
Each participating team should appoint one Team Manager.
The Team Managers shall attend any briefings and meetings called by the Referee.
It is compulsory that all team managers must attend the team managers meeting .Failing to
attend the meeting they are liable to be fined as per regulation Part III Section 1B, Appendix
11 “Offences and Penalties” .Member Associations can make a request someone to represent
them at the meeting as long as the Referee knows in advance that is acceptable

17.0 CLOTHING AND ADVERTISING
Colored Clothing and advertising on clothing will be permitted as per the BWF
General Competition Regulations 20 to 25, more particularly as under:-
16.1 For Team Championships:
16.1.1 Regulations as applicable to the Suhandinata Cup will apply.
16.1.2 All participating teams must wear team colors. That is each player must wear the
same colour and design of shirts and shorts ( or equivalent articles of clothing )
throughout a tie from the first day.
16.1.3 Player’s Name and Country Name at the back of the shirt is Mandatory from the
first day.
16.1.4 It is Mandatory that the opposing players in each match wear significantly
different colors from each other from the first day.
* The refere have the right to request teams of lower ranked to change their
uniform colour in case where teams wore the same colour.
16.2 For Individual Championships:
16.2.1 Regulations as applicable to the BWF Grand Prix Tournaments will apply.
16.2.2 Player’s Name and Country Name at the back of the shirt is Mandatory from the
first day.
16.2.3 It is Mandatory that the opposing players in each match wear significantly
different colors from each other from the first day.
18.0 OFFICIAL SHUTTLES

19.0 TEAM’S ARRIVAL
All participating Teams must arrive at least 24 hours before the start of the first Tie
(for the Team Championships) or the first scheduled match (for Individual Championships).
20.0 ON-COURT DOCTOR
An on-court doctor will be on duty throughout the competition at the tournament venue.
21.0 MEDIA OBLIGATIONS
The players will be required to fulfill the media obligations as per BWF norms.
22.0 DOPING TEST
Doping test maybe conducted randomly throughout the Championship.
Any dope testing will be conducted as per WADA regulations. Please take note that Competition
Regulation. Appendix 3 “Anti Doping Regulation”in the BWF Handbook II.
23.0 SUBSIDIES
23.1 Badminton Asia will assist participating teams from developing countries with airfare
Subsidies to cover part of their airfares.
21.2 The Organizer will providing rooms subsidies to the developing countries as follows:
a) Teams participating in both Team & Individual Events – Maximum 9 Nights
- 1- 4 players : 1 free twin room
- 5 – 10 players : 2 free twin room
- Over 11 players : 3 free twin room
b) Teams participating in Individual Events only – Maximum 5 Nights
- 1- 4 players : 1 free twin room
- 5 – 10 players : 2 free twin room
- Over 11 players : 3 free twin room

25.0 TRANSPORTATION
Airport transfer will be provided ONLY from Soekarno – Hatta Airport to the official hotel.
Transportation will only be provided to teams who have made hotel reservation with the local
host organizer ONLY.

26.0 ACCREDITATION
Please complete and return the accreditation form to Ms. Yati by e-mail: [email protected] no
later than Wednesday, 28th June 2018.
27.0 VISA APPLICATION
Players and Officials who require VISA to enter Indonesia should submit the Visa Form as
attached to Ms. Yati by e-mail: [email protected] and cc to [email protected] no later than
Friday, 23rd June 2018.
- You must apply for your Visa at least 15 working days before it is needed, to allow time for
your application to be processed.
- Please note, the letter of invitation we provide does not guarantee entry into Indonesia and
the final decision is made by the Indonesia Embassy in your country. It is the responsibility
of the applicant to ensure that they apply for their visa in sufficient time. Any issues with the
visa application need to be dealt with directly to the Embassy who is dealing with your
application.
- We accept no responsibility for withdrawals made due to late visa applications.
28.0 PRACTICE SCHEDULE
Kindly complete the practice request form and send it to e-mail:
[email protected] no later than Friday, 30 June 2018.
The Organizer will prepare an overall equitable practice schedule, taking into consideration of
the size and arrival details of each team. The Organizing Committee will publish overall
schedule after obtaining the approval of the Referee.
29.0 INSURANCE
By sending the entry for the tournament clearly signify acceptance Associations and its delegated
competitors / officials to the indemnity and not hold the organizing committee accountable for
and or to have any recourse against any costs, claims and damages for personal illness, injury
death, financial loss, death or property damage, in any form at any location arising out of or in
any way resulting from the participation in, postponement or cancellation of the said tournament.
The organizer will NOT be responsible for any illness, injury sustained, at any time, by any
player or official arising from his / her participation in these Championships. Any costs incurred
for diagnosis, consultancy, and medical treatment (including any form of surgical procedure) and
/ or hospitalization shall be borne by the Member Association of the player / official concerned.
Please ensure that your players & team officials possess the requisite insurance coverage to meet
current requirements.
