› The must begin with a topic sentence that also supports the central idea.

› How many? – A minimum of 3

– But it really depends on how much information you have and how your plan to organize it!

Why is this information important?

How am I going to make this sentence connect to the

previous paragraph?

How do you craft a topic sentence for a body paragraph?

› Now it is time to write a body paragraph.

› Here are my examples:– Body Paragraph #1: Virtual learning is changing education

because of the powerful technology that is used to inspire learning.

– Body Paragraph #2: Virtual learning inspires innovation in teachers, students , and the entire school community.

– Body Paragraph #3: Virtual learning cultivates creativity and inspires teachers and students to step out of their comfort zones.

› Look at your central idea and the structure that you chose for your essay.

› Using that work, create a topic sentence for each body paragraph that you will have in your essay.

› Choose the best topic sentence in your opinion and add that to our class discussion board for your assignment for today.
