Japan’s Largest Trade Show Organiser
– Organising 110 exhibitions a year across a wide sphere of industries –
Tad IshizumiPresident
Contributing to each industry’s activation andinternationalisation through organising valuable exhibitions
Assisting international companies entering the Japanesemarket, and increasing their business in Japan
Holding quality exhibitions where visitors from Japan and all across the world can compareproducts, technologies and services
Reed Exhibitions Japan was established in 1986 as the Japan office of a
global exhibition company – Reed Exhibitions. Since its inception, we have
endeavoured to organise successful exhibitions that directly lead to
exhibitors’ business and contribute to each industry’s activation and
internationalisation. Consequently, we had grown to become the largest
exhibition organiser in Japan by 2003. Ten years later in 2014, we now
organise 110 exhibitions annually.
The role and importance of exhibitions are increasing year by year because
the global economy is becoming borderless. We strive to organise quality
exhibitions, and to act as a bridge between the world and Japan. We
appreciate your warm and continued support, and your active participation
in our exhibitions.
An outstanding feature of our exhibitions is that our events generate business for the exhibitors and
visitors of both domestic and international companies alike. While sustaining ongoing exhibitions,
we excel in creating brand leading, highly targeted events where people from around the world
come together to Japan to do business, network and learn industry trends. As a result, many of our
exhibitions are Japan’s largest or the world’s largest in each industry sector.
With the above quality exhibitions evaluated by all related industries, we have become the largest
trade show organiser in Japan. As shown in the graph below, over the past 27 years the total number
of exhibitors each year has jumped from 766 to 17,500.
By creating business-oriented exhibitions,we have achieved 27 years of continuous growth

Opening Ceremony
Conference
Networking Event
Our exhibitions play the important role of a bridge between overseas companies and the Japanese
market as well as other Asian markets. Through our exhibitions, tens of thousands of overseas
business entities have developed new business in Japan and the number of those organisations is
still growing. In many cases, trade associations and embassies of each country support their home
companies’ business by establishing national pavilions and/or by giving subsidies to each company
participating in the exhibitions.
Moreover, there are usually a number of concurrent events at our exhibitions, such as opening
ribbon-cutting ceremonies, conferences and seminars, business networking parties and so forth.
These events enhance the presence of each country at the exhibitions and also strengthen
international ties among the participating organisations.

An Opening Ribbon-cutting Ceremony is grandly held on the first day of our exhibitions, gathering the ambassadors and top executives of industrial organisations around the world as well as industry professionals.
National policies for the industry, the latest market and technology trends, and industry leaders’ strategies are presented at the conference, being held with the exhibition concurrently.
The reception is held as a networking event that is greatly appreciated by attendees for gaining pathways to Japan and the world.
