This map illustrates the estimated totalprecipitation accumulation for Mozambiqueand Zimbabwe. The total estimate wasderived from the Global PrecipitationMeasurement (GPM) dataset at a spatialresolution of approximately 10km, and coversthe period from 12 to 18 January 2017. Theaverage percipitation during January isusually 209 mm in Mozambique and 155 mmin Zimbabwe. It is possible that precipitationlevels may have been underestimated forlocal areas, and are not a substitute forground station measurements. Please sendground feedback to UNITAR - UNOSAT.
