Grand Finale]Natural Stone: Rough Trimmed vs. Saw Cut
Natural stone is a unique product with varying shapes and rough edges. If you prefer this natural look, our stone will require minimal trimming and shaping. A waste factor of 10% to 20% should be acceptable.
If you prefer a more consistent look with sawn edges, uniform spacing, and tight joints, the waste factor will increase. For this installation, a 25% to 45% or more waste factor may apply.
Labor costs will increase the more the stone needs to be trimmed. A mock-up is highly recommended to determine joint sizes, color distribution, and the waste factor.Saw CutRough Trimmed
