Whatwastheaim?
Our main goal was to inform high school athletes about the problem of doping inprofessionalsport.
Whatcontentwasconveyed?
WepresentedthecaseofAndreas‐HeidiKriegeranddopinginEastGermanybetween1970and1990,followedbygeneral informationondoping(thepresentationofWADA,SLOADO,“Whatisdoping?”,TUE,athletes...).Inthesecondpart,weusedtheconceptofworkshops,with which we wanted to make young athletes openly discuss about the use of drugs insport.Wedividedpeopleinto4groupsanddistributedpapersheetswithdifferenttasksallofthem concerning on the topic of doping.Inside each group we divided athletes into twogroups,onegroupwasfordopingandanotrheronewasagainstdoping.Eachgrouphad15minutes to talk about the task and to give clear answers and explanations. After the
discussioneachgrouppresentedtheirconclusionstoeverybody.Ambassadorsweretheretoguide,supportandmaybehelptopointthemintherightdirectiontogetthegeneralviewonthe given issue.After each presentation we had time to answer the questions thatmighthavepoppedup.
Attheendofworkshopsathleteshadachancetosignapublicpromise,thattheywillactinaccordanse to the World Anti‐Doping Code and that they will not use any prohibitedsubstancesormethodsintheirsportcareer.

In our opinion and the opinion of teachers the lecture was very interesting. It has beennoticedthatmostofathletesdonothavealotofknowledgeabouttheproblemofdoping,butwecouldseethattheyhaveshown interestandcooperationtofindoutnewthings. Inparticular,theinterestandsurpriseofallpresentwasshown.Duringtheworkshopsmostofthemweretalkingandexchangingtheirviews.

Webelievethatallparticipantswillthinkaboutdangersofdopinginthefutureandconsidertheconsequencesinadifferentwaythantheydidbeforeourlecture.

Wethinkthattheresponsesoftheparticipantsweregood,becausetheyhavelearnedalotnewthings.Wecansaythatourgoalwasmorethansuccessfullyachieved.
