  BRIERE TALLIES 300TH IN DRAMATIC FASHION Daniel Briere scored his 300th NHL goal on Oct. 13 at Boston, lighting the lamp with under a second left in regulation to give theAvalanche a 2-1 victory.  Briere became the first player in Avalanche/Nordiques history to score a game-winning goal with one secondleft in regulation.  Prior to that, Colorado's latest game-winning goal was scored at 19:52 of the third period – a mark set by Jan Hejda ina 4-3 victory on April 13, 2013 vs. Vancouver.  Briere’s goal was only the fourth last-second tiebreaking goal (in regulation) over the lasteight seasons.  The other buzzer beaters since 2007-08 were scored by Brad Richards (Dec. 17, 2011 at Phoenix), Drew Doughty(Feb. 1, 2012 vs. Columbus) and David Krejci (Oct. 24, 2013 vs. San Jose).  Briere became the 16th active player to reach the 300-goalmilestone. Willie Desjardins became the 18th Head Coach in Canucks history on June 23, 2014.Desjardins served as Head Coach of Texas for two seasons compiling a 91-40-21 (.667) regular season record in 152 AHL games and led theStars to a Calder Cup Championship in 2014. He was awarded the Louis A. R. Pieri Award in 2013.
