Jonas Holos recalled from Lake Erie (AHL).   HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS The Colorado Avalanche opens a five-game homestand tonight against the Ottawa Senators at Pepsi Center.  Beginning tonight, 15of the next 19 games will be at home.  This five-game stay features a visit from Ottawa, Montreal, Los Angeles, Minnesota and Detroitfollowing the Christmas Break.  It is one of three five-game homestands on the 2010-11 schedule, all of which will take place inDecember or January. AVS LOOK FOR FIFTH STRAIGHT WIN The Avalanche enters tonight's contest with a four-game winning streak, matching their season high set Nov. 15-20.  Colorado is 4-0-1in its last five games and has gained at least a point in eight of its last nine outings (5-1-3, .722 pts%).  Since Nov. 15, the club is 9-3-3 over the last 15 games.  The Avs are 5-0-1 in their last six games at Pepsi Center, outscoring the opposition 31-19. NOTEWORTHY • Tomas Fleischmann has 10 points (5g/5a) in seven games since joining the Avalanche.  He is coming off back-to-back three-pointefforts, including his first career hat trick on Wednesday in Chicago.  All six of those points have come in the third period. • The Avs are 4-0-1 on Fridays this season. • Paul Stastny has a six-game point streak (4g/6a). • Stastny tallied his 200th career assist on Wednesday at Chicago.  He needs four points for 300 and four goals for 100. • Cody McLeod needs one penalty to become the second player in Avalanche history to reach 100 penalty minutes in four consecutiveseasons (Ian Laperriere was the other). • Craig Anderson brings a season-high four-game winning streak into tonight's contest.  He is 4-0-0 in his last four starts and 4-0-2 inhis last six. • Matt Duchene has five points (2g/3a) in his last two games and 18 points (9g/9a) in his last 13 games. • Colorado has the fourth-youngest active roster in the league (average 26.7 years). FLEISCHING LIGHTS Tomas Fleischmann tallied his first career hat trick on Wednesday, scoring all three goals in the third period in Colorado’s 4-3 win atChicago.   He became the first Avalanche player to score three goals in one period since Joe Sakic on March 13, 2003 at Columbus(1st period).  Prior to Fleischmann, no Avalanche player had ever scored three goals in the third period since the team relocatedto Denver.  In fact, the last franchise player to score three goals in the third period was Owen Nolan on Oct. 29, 1991 against theWinnipeg Jets at the Quebec Colisee.  The only other NHL player with three goals in the third period this season was Fleischmann'sformer teammate, Alexander Semin, on Nov. 11 against Tampa Bay.  AVALANCHE & SENATORS This is the only meeting of the season between the Avalanche and Senators.  They also met just once last year, a 4-3 Avalanchevictory on Dec. 30, 2009 at Scotiabank Place.  Colorado has won three straight over Ottawa, which includes a 3-2 OT win in the Sens'last visit to Pepsi Center on Feb. 17, 2009.  The Avalanche/Nordiques lead the all-time series 22-11-4, including a 9-8-2 mark sincemoving to Denver. AVS VS. EAST The Avs are 5-3-3 against Eastern Conference opponents this season, 1-0-1 at home and 4-3-2 on the road.  Tonight is Colorado's firstgame versus a Northeast Division foe.  The Avs were a perfect 5-0-0 against the Northeast a year ago.
