MC Structure & Profiles for 2013-‐2014 For the term 2013-‐2014 the following MC positions will be opened:

Although basic experience in AIESEC is preferred, any university student can apply for positions within the MC. You do not need to have EB experience to apply for the MC neither do you have to be currently active within the organization. The positions of MC VP ICX and MC VP OGX are opened for international applicants, note that also Dutch applicants can apply for these functions. For international applicants excellent English speaking skills are required. You can apply for more than one position. Expectations Timeline As MC member you will officially start your term on the 1st of August 2013. However, once you are selected you will already have a number of responsibilities. This mainly involves the attendance at a number of national events and part-‐time transition with your predecessor. From the 24th of June MC transition will officially start and you will be expected to be available full-‐time for AIESEC. You will officially end your term on the 1st of August 2014. Timeline: 11-‐17th of April -‐ EuroXpro in Turkey 16th of May -‐ National Take Over Start 22-‐24th of May -‐ Boarders 13th of June -‐ National Training Day 20th of June -‐ Functional Transition Meeting You are required to be available during al off these dates. If you already know this will not be possible, please contact us. Office & housing From the 1st of January the MC office will be located in Amsterdam. It is about a 5-‐minute walk from Amsterdam Bijlmer Arena train station, enabling the MC to travel easily throughout the country. As a member of the MC team you are expected to move to Amsterdam during your term. Application All information regarding an application obtained before and during the selection period will be handled with complete confidentiality and the information will only be used for the selection for the MC. Interviews will be conducted by the current MC members and potentially by a representative of the Board of Directors. Interviews can potentially be done online, but please let us know when you are not able to be physically present during the interview period.
Application procedure o Before the 24th of February 2013, 23.59 GMT+1, we will need from you:

of August 2013. The entire application should be in English. Only complete applications are accepted, late applications are also not accepted. o After the deadline we will contact you to schedule the selection rounds; These will happen between the 25th of February and the 22nd of March. After we have reviewed your application we will let you know whether or not you are accepted for the interviews. To complete the selection procedure you will have up to three interviews. After each interview we will let you know whether or not you can proceed to the next interview. During the interviews you will be assessed on:

- Analytical skills Below you will find the relevant CORE competencies, which can be used for preparing your interviews. o Selection will happen between the 22nd and the 25th of March.
Applying for the MC Applying for the MC takes both courage and self-‐reflection. You need to think through why you want to apply for the MC, what your strengths and weaknesses are and why you think you are the best candidate for a specific function. We very much encourage you to contact MC members or alumni to help you in this process. They can help you to get a better understanding of life in the MC, give you more insights into aspects of different functions, create a better understanding of the organization and give you tips for your application.

MC VP FINANCE & EXTERNAL RELATIONS The MCVP FER is responsible for all the financial processes and together with the MCP responsible for acquiring and managing key partnerships. Next to that, the VP FER coaches the local VPs and is responsible for information technology and information management systems. MC VP OUTGOING EXCHANGE The MCVP OGX is responsible for all the processes in the Outgoing Exchange area. This entails coaching all the local OGX coordinators, strategy development and implementation, as well as building partnerships with key stakeholders. It involves coaching the National Program coordinators meaning you are expected to have some ER knowledge. COACHING Assisting others in strengthening their development opportunities through means of guidance and feedback. Creating opportunities to discuss others’ performance, progress, and mistakes; tapping into their motivations to reach a collective objective. Acknowledging and accrediting achievements. COMMUNICATION Clearly transferring a message, thoughts and / or information to a designated group through means of creating an interpersonal rapport with the audience; assisting the audience in understanding the information by adapting to their motivations. PLANNING & PRIORITIZING Identifying which and when tasks, assignments, projects need to be completed; outlines the necessary steps of action in order to meet targets; plan ahead, adhere to schedule, prioritize work. MC VP MAM EVENT MANAGER The VP MaM Event Manager is responsible for the coordination of the Make a Move events on a national level. This entails coaching the MaM coordinators, MaM product development and ensuring national alignment between cities. The event manager is also responsible for the coaching of the Meet a Mentor and Board Battle coordinators. COACHING Assisting others in strengthening their development opportunities through means of guidance and feedback. Creating opportunities to discuss others’ performance, progress, and mistakes; tapping into their motivations to reach a collective objective. Acknowledging and accrediting achievements. MCVP MAM KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER The VP MaM Key Account Manager is responsible for all external contacts of Make a Move. The Key Account Manager is constantly in touch with our partner group and facilitates the Make a Move Company Contact members. Other responsibilities are mostly project based, i.e. sales of Meet a Mentor, working on the Profile booklet and the Monitor research. Moreover the brand manager is responsible for the overall positioning of Make a Move.
