Donor Acquisition Letter

Dear Friend,

I wish you could have been with me when Rebecca walked into my office to give me a

hug filled with gratitude. She had come to say thank you for helping her son Josh. “Without your

support I would not have been able to get Josh a post-exposure Tetanus shot, after he had stepped

on a nail during recess,” she explained.

In addition, since joining the Step Up program, Rebecca no longer has to decide whether

to put food on the table for Josh or take him to the doctor. “Because of Step Up I no longer have

to live with the knowledge that I may be gambling with my son’s life by not seeking medical

care. It is such a relief to know that Josh will be able to get quality healthcare when he needs it,”

she says.

Sadly, Josh is only one of the 8.3 million children in the U.S. who do not have health

insurance. According to Marian Edelman, “every minute American child is born without

healthcare insurance.” Moreover, 500,000 children will die this year alone because they did were

not able to receive timely access to primary healthcare.

Lifestyle Management : We teach our clients how to prevent disease by living

a healthy lifestyle.

Financial and Healthcare Management: We teach our clients to budget for

emergency healthcare expenses

Basic Healthcare Provision: We refer clients to retired healthcare

practitioners who provide treatment for little or no money.

Career Management and Development: We help clients to pursue a higher

education. We do this by providing study tips, college application help and

financial planning assistance.
