Day 1: Arrival in Calvi and transfer to Olmi-Cappella

Arriving into Calvi airport, you will then be transferred to the enchanting village of Olmi-Cappella.

Day 2: Old mills and forgotten ancient bridges

After a short transfer in the morning to Mausoléo, the day's walk leads you to ancient Genoese bridges hidden in the mountains, discover old fl our and chestnut mills and swim in natural pools nearby. Following a path through the undergrowth, you then walk along beautiful riverbanks to reach a woodkeeper's cottage located near to the Tartagine river. Distance: 5.5km. Walking: 3.5 hours. Altitude gain: +285m. Descent: -390m

Day 3: The Tartagine river

Today's delightful hike will lead you to discover lakes and natural pools around the wild Tartagine river. There are many idyllic picnic spots and swimming holes to be found in this particular area. After having a nice relaxing swim, return to your accommodation and enjoy dinner.Distance: 10km. Walking: 4 hours. Altitude gain: +640m. Descent: -590m

Day 4: Crossing the bridge of Vallica, from the Tartagine to Olmi-Cappella

Today, you will follow a path which overlooks the valley of Giussani and its surrounding mountains. The path will lead you to walk across a magnifi cent Genoese bridge towards the village of Vallica. You then enter a forest along a centuries-old mule track before reaching the village of Olmi-Cappella.Distance: 9.7km. Walking: 4.5 hours. Altitude gain: +640m. Descent: -590m

Day 5: Panoramic path, Olmi-Cappella to Mausoléo

The last donkey ride of the tour takes place in the valley of Giussani. Your trip today takes you to mountain trails with stunning views over the lowlands and the delightful hamlet of Forcili. Finally a walk around gentle crests give you the opportunity to see the lush Tartagine valley from above, before meeting with the donkey drivers at Mausoléo where the children say their goodbyes to their trekking campanions. You will then be transferred back to Olmi-Cappella.Distance: 9.6km. Walking: 5 hours. Altitude gain: +650m. Descent: -590m

Day 6: Explore L'Ile Rousse

After a fi nal breakfast at the village of Olmi-Cappella, you will be transferred to L’Ile Rousse.

Day 7: Bucket and spade beaches and vibrant markets

After a busy few days, relax on the beach or stroll through the town.

Day 8: End of your holiday

After breakfast, you will be collected from your hotel and taken to the airport.
