D&L Heritage Half MarathonThe only thing scarier than Halloween is thethought of you missing out on this year's race!

Tomorrow (Wednesday, October 29 atmidnight) is the last day to register to run orwalk in this year's Heritage HalfMarathon on Sunday, November 2.

Now in its fourth year, the Delaware & LehighHeritage Half Marathon continues to offer themost scenic course in the Lehigh Valley. Theraces are run mostly on the D&L Trail as itparallels the Lehigh River in the northernparts of the Lehigh Valley. The wide rail-trailhas a finely crushed limestone surface. (Yourlegs will thank you.) Add in spectacular fallfoliage plus a November race date and youhave the makings of a cool, awesome run.

The Delaware & Lehigh National HeritageCorridor is gearing up to make history onceagain by offering the first walker-friendly halfmarathon in the area.

Proceeds from this fundraising event are usedfor the support, upkeep and maintenance ofthe Trail.

Volunteer for the Heritage Half Marathon:

This event takes place due to the kindness of volunteers who staff water stops,the start and finish areas, and many places in between. They serve water andfood, direct participants at road intersections and crossings, help hand outmedals and awards, and cheer the participants throughout the course. We offerour volunteers a commemorative T-shirt, a great lunch on Race Day, and theopportunity to make the races fun and memorable events for everyone involved.
