2. Alleluia! Not as orphans

Are we le( in sorrow now;

Alleluia! He is near us,

Faith believes, nor ques#ons how:

Though the cloud from sight

received him,

When the forty days were o'er,

Shall our hearts forget his promise,

'I am with you evermore'?

3. Alleluia! Bread of Angels,

Here on earth our food, our stay!

Alleluia! Here the sinful

Flee to you from day to day:

Intercessor, friend of sinners,

Earth's redeemer, plead for me,

Where the songs of all the sinless

Sweep across the crystal sea.

Offertory The Wonderful Cross

1. When I survey the wondrous cross

on which the Prince of Glory died,

my richest gain I count but loss,

And pour contempt on all my pride

2. See from His head, His hands, His feet,

sorrow and love flow mingled down;

Did e'er such love and sorrow meet,

or thorns compose so rich a crown?

Refrain

O the wonderful cross,

O the wonderful cross

bids me come and die and find

that I may truly live.

O the wonderful cross,

O the wonderful cross;

All who gather here by grace

draw near and bless Your name.

3. Were the whole realm of nature mine,

that were an offering far too small.

Love so amazing, so divine,

demands my soul, my life, my all.

Communion We Remember

Refrain

We remember how you loved us

to your death, and s#ll we celebrate,

for you are with us here;

and we believe that we will see you

when you come in your glory, Lord.

We remember, we celebrate,we believe.

1. Here, a million wounded souls

are yearning just to

touch you and be healed.

Gather all your people,

and hold them to your heart.

2. Now we recreate your love,

we bring the bread and

wine to share a meal.

Sign of grace and mercy,

the presence of the Lord.

3. Christ, the Father's great 'Amen'

to all the hopes and

dreams of ev'ry heart,

peace beyond all telling,

and freedom from all fear.

4. See the face of Christ revealed in

ev'ry person standing by your side,

gi( to one another,

and temples of your love.

Sending Forth Crown Him With Many Crowns

1. Crown Him with many crowns,

The Lamb upon His throne;

Hark! how the heavenly anthem drowns

All music but its own.

Awake, my soul and sing

Of Him who set us free,

And hail Him as your heav’nly

King Through all eternity.

2. Crown Him the Lord of life,

Who triumphed o'er the grave,

And rose victorious in the strife

For those He came to save.

His glories now we sing,

Who died and rose on high,

Who died, eternal life to bring,

And lives that death may die.

3. Crown Him the Lord of love,

Behold His hands and side,

Rich wounds yet visible above

In beauty glorified.

No angel in the sky

Can fully bear that sight,

But downward bends his burning eye

At mysteries so bright.

4. Crown Him the Lord of peace,

Whose power a scepter sways

From pole to pole,

that wars may cease,

Absorbed in prayer and praise.

His reign shall know no end,

And round His pierced feet

Fair flow’rs of Paradise extend

Misa - 6:30 pm Entrada Caminaré

Estribillo

Caminaré

en presencia del Señor. (bis)

1. Amo al Señor, porque escucha

mi voz suplicante,

porque inclina su oído hacia mi

el día que lo invoco.

Ofertorio No Hay Mayor Amor Estribillo

Sending Forth Hope to Carry On

1. I can see Jesus hangin' on a cross,

I can see Jesus hangin' on a cross,

I can see Jesus hangin' on a cross,

He came lookin' for the lost.

And love has come,

and love has come,

love has come,

and He's given me hope to carry on.

2. I can hear Jesus sayin',“Father,forgive”

I can hear Jesus sayin',“Father, forgive”

I can hear Jesus sayin',“Father, forgive”

Oh, what a thing He did.

Love has come, love has come,

love has come,

and He's given me hope to carry on.

Bridge

And I can see love,

love is all I want to see.

Love could make a beggar rich,

could set a prisoner free.

I know He could do it for you,

God knows He did it for me.

And I can see love,

love is all I want to show you, love.

Love's the only way to go, love.

Love is all a man might need to know,

this I know

3. And you know Peter

put away his sword.

I can see Peter,

he's pu\n' away his sword.

I can see Peter, he put away his sword,

he won't fight no more.

Love has come, love has come,

love has come,

and He's given me hope to carry on.

I goBa carry on.

LIFE TEEN KICK OFF

August 17 was our official kick off with a Life Night called Catholic Double Dare. It featured many of the same components of the classic late 80s/90s TV game show, Double Dare. You know; trivia, chocolate syrup, shaving cream, etc. It was messy to say the least but, I can honestly say I think a good time was had by all. I tried to get myself cleaned up as best as I could but found some chocolate syrup on my legs when I got home; evidence of a good social Life Night. This got me thinking. Fr Da-vid's homily was one for the record books as he spoke about our responsibility to evangelize our world. So, where's the evidence of my relationship with Jesus? Am I welcoming, forgiving, slow to anger, and rich in compassion? Do I smile at folks at Mass? Do I treat my family with respect? Do I welcome new folks into my clique? It can be very easy to forget that our Lord showed an extreme interest in folks who were unlike himself. He reached out to all. He still reaches out to us and invites us to do the same. Who can we reach out to? Who might we invite to join us on our jour-ney with Jesus? Give it a try soon. I double dare ya! See you at Mass! -ryan foulon

Meals for Life Nights

Every Sunday for Life Nights, we have dinner with the teens. We are always looking for people to help by providing our meal for us. This entails preparing food for about 25 people and can be anything from jambalaya, red beans and rice, pasta, pizza or whatever else you would like. If you are interested please contact me; 504-466-5016 x114 or [email protected]. And for you tech savvy folks, you may visit our online Calendar (divinemercylifeteen.weebly.com) and pick an "OPEN" Sunday that doesn't have a person's name on it. Then, e-mail me with the date that you want. Thanks in advance! -ryan foulon

-ryan foulon.
