Glass declined her sched- uled preliminary hearing and opted to have her case presented to a grand jury. Derek L. Perry, 21, Fleet Road, Adolphus, was arrest- ed by Deputy Sheriff Del- mas Carter for disregard- ing signals from an officer directing traffic, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, fourth offense in five years, expired registration and failure to maintain re- quired insurance. Perry was given a prelimi- nary hearing date of Febru- ary 8. Brandon Geralds, 28, of Tompkinsville, was arrested by Trooper Joe Gregory on nine counts of wanton en- dangerment (swerving his vehicle toward a parked vehicle filled with passen- gers on Brownsford Road) and fourth-degree assault of Rhainvon Rue while she was holding a small child. Geralds was represented by Attorney Alicson Mont- gomery during a preliminary hearing. The charges were dismissed without prejudice as requested by the victims. Charges dismissed with- out prejudice maybe re- instated at a later date if complaining witnesses and prosecuting attorney desire to do so. Jerry G. Ward, 29, Bowl- ing Green, was accused by Patrolman Darren Tabor of falsely reporting an inci- dent. The charge was dismissed without prejudice. Christy B. Jones, 25, West Main Street, was ar- rested by Patrolman Chad Foster for theft by unlawful taking and fraudulent use of a credit card. Both charges were dis- missed. Tiffany Lenae Howard, 30, York Road, Adolphus, was arrested by F&W Offi- cer for fishing without a li- cense. Her fines and costs totaled $203.50. Holly M. Halloway, 38, North Third Street, was cited to court by Patrolman Tabor for disregarding a stop sign. The charge was dismissed as a warning. Murl T. Sloan, 56, Browns- ford Road, was charged by Assistant Chief Donavon Spencer with driving on a DUI-suspended license. He was fined $100 plus costs. A jail sentence of 30 days was conditionally dis- charged. Augusto M. Mendez, 21, of Beaver Dam, was arrest- ed by Trooper C. Duke for careless driving and no op- erator’s license. On pleas of guilty Mendez must pay $292.50 in fines and costs. Cora M. Hall, 22, Smiths Grove Road, was charged by Patrolman Chris Johns with alcohol intoxication in a public place. She was fined $25 plus costs. Michael E. Carter, 47, An- derson Blvd., was issued a citation by Patrolman John Rose for expired registration and failure to produce an in- surance card. By Joe Hite C-T Staff Writer Two men arrested by De- tective Brad Emery in con- nection wit the robbery of a McDonald's employee at- tempting to make a night deposit at Farmers National Branch Bank, North Court Street, on May 10, 2011, were present for formal sen- tencing before Judge Janet J. Crocker last Tuesday. Allen Michael Witcher, 21, New Glasgow Road, under terms of a plea deal worked out with Common- wealth's Attorney Clint Wil- lis, December 6, 2011, was sentenced to serve 10 years in prison for the offenses of robbery and a concurrent five years for theft by unlaw- ful taking of a McDonald's night deposit bag. A probation motion by At- torney Alicson Montgomery was overruled. Witcher was remanded to custody of the State Department of Correc- tions to begin serving his 10 year sentence. Jared G. Merchant, 21, Matt Drive, was given a seven year prison sentence December 13, 2011, for con- spiracy to first-degree rob- bery. Attorney David Goin en- tertained a motion for pro- bation and it was denied. Merchant was remanded into the custody of Jailer Larry Piper. He is eligible to participate in the deten- tion center's work release program. Two co-defendants in this case, Shawn D. Doering, 19, Halifax Road, and Matthew L. Mandrell, 21, East Maple Street, will be formally sen- tenced on February 2. Stephen Clingenpeel, 19, of Bowling Green, appeared with Attorney Montgomery for a pretrial conference. Stovall Road, appeared with Attorney Montgomery. He was charged by Patrolman Todd Bransford with terror-istic threatening.

The charge was amended to menacing. A 20-day jail sentence was conditionally discharged.

•Dale F. Richer, 35, Brownsford Road, was ar-rested by Deputy Sheriff Charlie Drummond for vio-lation of an emergency pro-tective order.

He will return for a jury trial on April 13.

•Chad D. Guffey, 38, Vet-eran’s Memorial Highway, was charged with two counts of violation of an EPO by Trooper Jason Lanham.

Guffey, represented by At-torney Frank Wakefield had his status hearing continued to April 11.

Scottie Mesker, 27, Brent Court, was arrested by Dep-uty Sheriff Chris Ford for violation of an emergency protective order.

The charge was dismissed as recommended by County Attorney William P. Hagen-buch.

•Jason Anthony Adkinson, 25, Cherokee Drive, was rep-resented by Attorney Steve

Thornton during a status hearing.

He was charged with fourth-degree assault by Deputy Carter.

The charge was dismissed without prejudice.

Circuit Court last Monday James David Brummitt, 24, Hinton Avenue, was accused of unauthorized use of an auto by Shannon Meador.

He must pay restitution in the amount of $1,425 and pay costs of $153.50.

•Timothy E. Pearson, 43, Franklin Road, was cited by Patrolman Robert Jackson for no operator’s license. He was fined $50 plus costs.

•Patrolman Tabor cited Danny R. Butrum, 30, South Fourth Street, for driving on a suspended license. His fine and costs totaled $192.50.

•Rainey B. Burton, 19, Seventh Street, was arrest-ed by Patrolman Burton on a charge of theft.

His 10-day jail sentence was conditionally dis-charged.

•Keenan R. Keen, 48, Bowling Green, formerly of Scottsville, was arrested by Detective Emery for receiv-ing stolen property, pos-

session of marijuana and prescription not in original container.

His concurrent jail sen-tences totaling 60 days were conditionally discharged. He must pay costs of $153.50.

•Matthew S. Bragg, 26, Franklin Road, was charged by Patrolman Tabor with driving on a suspended li-cense, failure to wear seat-belts and failure to maintain required insurance.

His fines and costs were converted to a 15-day jail sentence. Credit was given for 15 days already served.

•Serena C. Jenkins, 29, Ce-dar Hill Road, was arrested by Patrolman Todd Brans-ford for theft by deception (cold checks), criminal tres-pass at Clark Lumber Com-pany and public intoxication on a controlled substance (excluding alcohol).

Jenkins appeared with Attorney Montgomery for a status hearing and entered guilty pleas.

On charges one and two, she received concurrent 180 day jail sentences. Cred-it was given for 78 days served—with the balance conditionally discharged. On charge three she was fined $25.

Two men arrested by De-tective Brad Emery in con-nection wit the robbery of a McDonald's employee at-tempting to make a night deposit at Farmers National Branch Bank, North Court Street, on May 10, 2011, were present for formal sen-tencing before Judge Janet J. Crocker last Tuesday.

–Allen Michael Witcher, 21, New Glasgow Road, under terms of a plea deal worked out with Common-wealth's Attorney Clint Wil-lis, December 6, 2011, was sentenced to serve 10 years in prison for the offenses of robbery and a concurrent five years for theft by unlaw-ful taking of a McDonald's night deposit bag.

A probation motion by At-torney Alicson Montgomery was overruled. Witcher was remanded to custody of the State Department of Correc-tions to begin serving his 10 year sentence.

–Jared G. Merchant, 21, Matt Drive, was given a seven year prison sentence December 13, 2011, for con-spiracy to first-degree rob-bery.

Attorney David Goin en-tertained a motion for pro-bation and it was denied. Merchant was remanded into the custody of Jailer Larry Piper. He is eligible to participate in the deten-tion center's work release program.

–Two co-defendants in this case, Shawn D. Doering, 19, Halifax Road, and Matthew L. Mandrell, 21, East Maple Street, will be formally sen-tenced on February 2.

•Stephen Clingenpeel, 19, of Bowling Green, appeared with Attorney Montgomery for a pretrial conference.

He was charged by Patrol-man John Rose with two counts of second-degree rape by engaging in sexual inter-course with a girl under age 14.
