The winner at every speed. The DIMA Digital Printer Shoot-Out tests digital output devices and the consumables used with these devices under standardized conditions and procedures. Entrants were provided with a target file and given five business days to produce a print. A panel of expert judges evaluated the prints for their overall quality as well as quality of the color. Xerox captured all three 2009 DIMA Digital Printer Shoot-Out Awards in the category for electrophotographic dry production printers: 20-40 ppm award— Xerox DocuColor ® 242 Digital Color Printer/Copier 41-70 ppm award— Xerox 700 Digital Color Press 71+ ppm award— Xerox iGen4™ Press Meeting high standards. Quantitatively, the entries were measured and scored based on an X-Rite ® color checker with known values that were embedded in the target file. Qualitative criteria were also used in the judging, including: Neutral gray balance reproduction Saturation Shadow depth and quality Overall tonality and detail Highlights and specular highlights Flesh tones Hue shift Text Business-building versatility.
