The report contained herein covers diamond drilling dono on mining
1 claims numbered T 53370 and T 52461*
HISTOHYi
Originally the Aldage gafoup consisted of six mining claims staked
in 1961 on tho north shore of Casael's Lake, Thie group is overlain by
Gosselin LaJco. Hinco that time, another l 6 mining claims have been
added to the gi'oup on the west and north*
During the nuramer of 19&3 1 a geological and prospecting program
was carried cut on tho original 6 claim group* In the summer of 196*4 f
the ronr.ininjj 16 claim #i?oup was geologised and prospected*
3)urin# tho 1963 pro gram i various aplito ntruoturoD occupying shear
Bonoft were noted and nono of theae eones oonttiineil narrow but eubstantial
veins of olnloopyrite notably in claim No. 5? 53370 on tho weet shore of
Goo^elin Lake*
Subsequontly, tho moat prominent otruoturo was trenched f or a
distance of 113* to a depth of 6* and it wae observed that the chalco
pyrite vein increased in width with depth. Sampling for aaeay purposee
proved the presence of oommoroial grado copper assooiated with inter*.
oeting amounts of ailvor.
Because of the importance of the copper-silver values and because th*
aplite structure carrying the chalcopyrite vein showed strong continuity
along a shear sonoi ohort probe diamond drilling vas reoowmended in order
to ao certain the below gz-oundlovel continuity, thioknossi attitude and
preponderance of the voin as well ae to determine the oopper-oilvor
values that may occur below the trenched area*
