OVFRRIJRDEN
MAFIC FRAGMENTAL
- fine grained, light green to dark greenish-black- 3 fragment types observed; i) 905! fragments are a distinct pale green,
fine grained, amygdaloidal and exhibit sharp contacts. Vary In sizefrom 1X2 cm, up to 20 cm li) 81 of fragments are highly amygdaloidal,up to 302! iii) 2 1 variolitic fragments. Subround coeleslng pale greenspots l-2mm
- 10* of unit is distinct fragments, recognition of other fragmentsis obscurred by alteration
- very strongly foliated at 350 to core axisALTERATION:
- moderate pervasive carbonate and 5-105! carbonate dumping in Irregularmasses from 0.5cm to 2cm in width.
- moderate pervasive chlorite throughout, 0.5mm to 5mm strongly chlori tic blebs elongated in plane of foliation occur locally.
- Sericite occurs locally varying in intensity from wispy streaks onfoliation planes to strongly pervasive zones
MINERALIZATION:- I t pyrite occurs locally, associated mainly with quartz/carbonate
veins and masses. Pyrite also occurs along foliation planes.VEINING:- minor quartz/carbonate veins averaging lcm occur in two general
orientations; i) 350-50U to core axis perpendicular to foliation( ii) 35U to core axis parallel to foliation

DESCRIPTION
- carbonate material in amygdules and in irregular patches has a distinctpink-purple colour from 191.0 to 384.0 possibly due to hematite impurities
- moderate pervasive chlorite. Strongly chloritic angular blebs l-5mm wideoccur locally up to 1 01
- sericite occurs locally from weak to moderate fracture controlled tostrongly pervasive. Sericite alteration overprints carbonate and chloritealteration
VEINING:- approximately St veining occurs throughout unit (s). Three types of veins
are recoonized; i) 802S lcm quartz/carbonate veins. 11) 10X l-2cm quartzveins iii) 102 1mm crenulated carbonate veins spaced 0.5 - lcm apart.
- 2 general orientations are dominant; 1) 85* sub-parallel to foliation, 25to 450 to core axis 11) 153S 350-550 to core axis perpendicular to foliationThis group commonly cro^cn*-* thp first group.
- Crenulated carbonate veinlets are generally sub-parallel to core axis butmay assume any orientation.
- 5-105S quartz/carbonate masses occur throughout reaching 401 locally.Increased amounts are noticed in the highly sericitic zones

DESCRIPTION
OVERBURDEN
MAFIC VOLCANIC
- fine grained, colour ranges from light green to greenish-black- unit is generally amygdaloidal fronx29! to 51 throughout. Amygdules
are carbonate filled and average between 2mm - 8mm, they are Irregularto round in shape and are locally stretched in plane of foliation
- 47.3 - 64.4: appears to be void of amygdules, other sections in unitthat are amygdule void total < 5%. Three distinct, amygdaloidal sectionsoccur; i) 165.3 - 178.5: 15* subround amygdules from lm-5mm in sizeii) 185.8 - 201.8.^5* to^O* amygdules, 802 of interval has 20*amygdules iii) 236 - 246.0; 15-20* amygdules, 2-15mm in size
- distinct pillowswere not observed In this hole although one sectionbetween 171.0 - 201.8 has some pillow selvage looking features - Thisand other areas may exhibit pillow structures but are now obscured dueto alteration
- no apparent variolitic sections were observed- foliation ranges from moderate to strong dominantly at 350 to core axis,
however ranges from 250 to 450 to core axisALTERATION:
- weak to moderate pervasive carbonate. Carbonate dumping in irregularpatches generally 5-102, carbonate has a distinct purple-red stainingf hematite) throughout, however white carbonate is also present to alesser degree (approximately 70/30).

DESCRIPTION
- moderate pervasive chlorite and strongly chloritic blebs occurthroughout, blebs range in size from 0.5mm - 5mm can be subroundto highly angular and are commonly elongated in the plane offoliation.
- blebs compose up to 15-202 of the rock but average 1 01, they arehighlighted when the ground-mass is sericite
- weak sericite occurs locally throughout reaching levels of moderateto strong alteration insome instances
- weak to moderate hematization (7) occurs locally causing abrick-red colour to the rock.
MINERALIZATION:- mineralization is very minimal on the whole and generally reaches;
concentration of 13! or less.- pyrite is by far the most common sulphide, forming in fine
disseminations or as cubes from 1mm to 5mm is size. Very minoramounts of chalcopyrite and arsenopyrite exist locally. Thedisseminated mineralization commonly occurs at or near the interfaceof quartz and/or carbonate with the host rock as blebs ordisseminations along foliation planes. One Quartz/carbonate vein;contained 52 sulphides composed of pyrite, chalcopyrite, shalerite.and pyrrhotite
VEINING:- three types of veining occur; i) carbonate veins, general ly*:lX2cm
wide, range from 1mm - 4cm. Various orientations, but dominantly

OVERBURDEN
REGOLITH (?)
Extremely weathered rock, may be composed of boulders and/or overburdenbut hard to determine due to extreme weathering. Becomes increasinglyconsolidate and rock-like downhole.- 20-302 lost core.
MAFIC VOLCANIC
- fine grained, light green to dark green- unit is usually amygdaloidal, generally ranges from 2 -101 amygdules
with an average of 5*. Amygdules range in sizes from 2-5mm andare subround to elongate.125.0 - 131.0: amygdules are larger than average (1.5cm) are subroundcarbonate filled and rimmed by hematite (?).
- pillow selvages are not evident, however some questionable featuresoccur locally and in places the unit may be pillowed
- foliation ranges from weak to moderate, dominantly moderate, at 30-401to core axis
Alteration:
- upflt t" mt"1op?te pprvf^v* carbonate alteration moderatp fracturecontrolled carbonate and 5-10* carbonate dumoino
- moderate pervasive chlorite alteration, strongly chloritic blebsl-4mm in size, round to angular occur from 5-10Z generally throughout
- patchy weak to moderate sericite occurs locally,

DESCRIPTION
- 125.0 127.4: moderate hematization occurs in patches giving the roclc abrick-red colour. Hematite (?) also is found colouring carbonatethroughout the hole.Veining:
- minor veining occurs throughout from 2-5!6, three types occur; i) carbonateveins - most irregular of the veins types in nature, from 1mm to 10mm.Multiple orientations with no distinct patterns. Also occur as 1mm widecrenulated veinlets spaced 0.5 - lcm apart ii) quartz/carbonate veins -various orientations. Commonly 0.5 - lcm wide iii) quartz veins - generalllargest in size (2-5cm) although they are the least commonMineralization:
- pyrite and minor amounts of chalcopyrite occur locally from 1/21 to IXmaximum. Pyrite occurs as blebs and disseminations generally foundassociated with quartz and/or carbonate and along foliation plane butcan also be found in groundmass with no obvious structural control.
- 125.0 - 126.5: moderate hematization- 126.5 - 128.0: as above- 128.0 - 129.0: < l/2% chalcopyrite
MAFIC FRAGMENTAL (?)- unit appears compositional y the same as unit from 125.0 to 131.0. but
appears fragmental . Fragments are not highly distinctive and the appearammay be due to alteration. Fragments are the same composition and the unitmay represent a flow top or flow bottom breccia.
- moderate to strongly foliated at 300 to core axis1 - alteration and veininq are the same as 125.0 to 131. 0 T hnw*wv cnmo

carbonate dumping is more intense at 15-202- this unit is only distinctly (?) fragmental at 205.0m. The high percen
