Development of North East Region
North Eastern Government plan, execute and monitor the development schemes in North Eastern region. The whole responsibility is on the Ministry of Development.
The vision of these project is to accelerate the development in North Eastern Region.
These projects try to improve rural livelihood. Specially they focus on women development, unemployed youth etc.Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura are 4 of the North Eastern states which have disadvantages a lot more than other cities.
North Eastern cities are considered as the backward enclave of a progressing economy. This part of India is the most challenging region in terms of growth opportunities.
Headquarters of nectar is in Shillong,Meghalaya. It is an autonomous society which is set up under science and technology. Nectar is an organization which ensure applications for the development of biodiversity area , horticulture, infrastructure planning etc.
North East Centre for Technology Application and Reach (NECTAR)
NECTAR is an autonomous society. It is set up under the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India.
The headquarter of Nectar is in Shillong, Meghalaya.
The Centre will look at harnessing and leveraging niche frontier technologies available with central scientific departments and institutions.
This organization has been designed keeping various things in mind. Some of them are the role of solution designer. It plays a role of partnership institution as well. Technology Assistance to the State Government in North Eastern Region is one of the important services provided by them.
