What you need is a detox to get rid of all those nasty toxins and get your body back in to top shape for the new year.

A detox can involve lots of different things so we’ve put together a collection of our favourite ways to detox and cleanse your body!

Visit a spaThere are lots of spa treatments available which with

help to detox your body.

Facials and body wraps will help cleanse your skin, making it much more healthier. Alternatively facilities like

stream rooms, saunas, hydro pools, and hot tubs will allow you to relax whilst detoxifying.

For the ultimate detox, turn your spa visit into a spa weekend away! This will allow you to take time out of your busy lifestyle and

benefit from a greater range of spa treatments.

Many hotels feature their own spa, so you won’t even have to leave the building! However, if you do plan on getting out for some

exercise, pick a hotel with an interesting location. The beautiful scenery around Edinburgh hotels will encourage you to take that

morning jog!

Relax with yogaYoga is a very popular form of exercise which is a form of

physical, mental, and spiritual discipline. It can be incorporated into your detox as a form of relaxation.

If you have never tried yoga before, it is important to go to lessons so that you can

because it helps flush out toxins in your body naturally.Not only this, but water helps maintain proper muscle tone and drinking enough water is the best treatment for fluid

retention.

If your detox plan involves exercise then it is essential to make sure you are drinking enough water to keep your body

healthy. One sign of dehydration is a headache.

There are many debates about how much water we should drink per day.

Normally 2 litres per day is recommended, but it is more important

to drink when thirsty and not to drink excessive amounts.

Pumpkin seeds, almonds, walnuts, sesame seeds and sunflower seeds are great for detoxing and snacking!

Omega-3 oils help allow toxins to be absorbed and eliminated in the body. You can find Omega-3 oils in

avocado, virgin olive oil or oily fish, like salmon.
