The VEX Robotics Competition (VRC) World

Championship is a gathering of top robotics

teams from around the world to celebrate their

accomplishments and compete with/against

the best of the best. The 2018 VEX Robotics

World Championship will include top teams

from over 1400 VEX Robotics Competition

tournaments in cities around the world.

Teams must qualify for the World

Championships in one of three ways:

Winning a VRC Championship Event

Winning the Excellence Award at a VRC

Championship Event.

Robotics

2009-2010

First WSHS VEX team is formed and competes in Oregon’s first

VEX Tournament.

2010-2011

West Salem team’s 278C and 2990A qualify and compete at VEX

World Championship.

2011-2012

West Salem teams 278C (Excellence) , 278D (State Champ) and

2990A (State Champ) qualify and compete at VEX World

Championship. 278D makes it to the division quarterfinals,

2990A makes it to the division semi-finals knocked out by the

eventual World Champions.

2012-2013

West Salem teams 278 G (State Champ), 2990A (State Champ)

and 278 D (Excellence) qualify for VEX World Championships.

2013-2014

West Salem teams 278 A (Excellence)

2990A (Programming Skills) Finished 9-1-0 at Worlds captain

of the 2nd seeded alliance. Lost in quarterfinals.

2014-2015
