1. PAULUS1 DIRCKSZEN was possibly born between 1620 and 1625. He married first before 1647 Geertje

Williamse.1 He married second before 1652 Jannetje Jans (assuming Jannetje is the mother of Elizabeth and

Geertruyd).2 He died between 29 Mar 1688 and 24 May 1692; (dates of will and proving).

Immigrant ancestor to America in 1651.3 He was admitted to the Brooklyn, Kings Co., Long Island, New York, on 25

Dec 1662 with an attestation from Fort Orange (now Albany, New York).4 On 27 Feb 1664 Paulus Dircksen was among those nominated from Wallabout, for election to the positions of Elder and Deacon for the Brooklyn Reformed Dutch

Church.5 On 9 Apr 1664 Paulus Dircksen and Geertie Gijsberts witnessed the confirmation of Janneken Jans, from

Almelo, at the Brooklyn Reformed Dutch Church.6 He appeared on the assessment list of Breuckelen, Kings Co., Long Island, New York, in 1676 Paulus Dierckse, 2 polls 2 horses 2 oxen 5 cows 2 do of 3 yrs 5 do of 2 yrs 3 do of 1 yr. 5 hogs for £127, 12 morgens land & valley for £24. 7 He witnessed the baptism of Paulus Van der Voort, son of Paulus Michielszen Van der Voort and Elisabeth Poulussen, on 8 Jul 1681 Midwoud, Kings Co., Long Island, New York, (sponsors Paulus Dircksz, Annetje Teunis,

Poulussen).10 He took the Oath of Allegiance in 1687 Breuckelen, Kings Co., Long Island, New York, "Paulus dirckse, 36

Jeare."11 His will was dated on 29 Mar 1688 proved 24 May 1692. Joint will of Paulus Dirckse and his wife Jannetje Jans, at Bedfors of Breuckelen in Kings County. Revokes all former wills and codicils. To Dirck Paulus, eldest son by former wife Geertie Williamse, one piece of eight. To Dirck Pauluson and also to children of Lysbeth Paylyssen, £25. Eechtje Teunise Covert, daughter of Teunis Covert and Barbara Lucas, say 1672.16 He married second before Apr

1685 Sara Yates.17 He died between 19 Nov 1722 and 22 Dec 1730; (date of will and proving).18

As a resident of Hunterdon Co., New Jersey, Isaac Hoff enlisted after the British entered Boston and served for one month as a private in Capt. Cilnoff's (Kirkoff's?) Co., Col. Mahalm's Regt. during which time he was engaged in building a fort at Staten Island. He enlisted a short time before the British entered New York City and served as different times as a private in the New Jersey troops amounting to at least sixteen months of service. He was at the Battle of Millstone Creek where he was wounded by a ball in the fron of

his head. He was at the Battle of Monmouth, and in frequent other skirmishes.246 In 1790 Isaac Hoff resided Reading Twp., Hunterdon Co., New Jersey; until he moved to Kentucky, and then to

Butler Co., Ohio in 1803.247,248 He was named in his father's will dated on 7 May 1790.249 On 4 Aug 1833 Isaac Hoff resided Butler Co., Ohio; when he was allowed a pension based upon his

service during the Revolutionary War.250
