DEMOGRAPHICS:

Demographics is used in media marketing, it is a way of

classifying people in different categories based on

factors such as gender and ages, also there job status.

Psycho graphics is also of way of classifying people in

categories, however this is based on there lifestyle and

personality.

SOCIAL CLASS DEMOGRAPHIC SCALE

This is a scale created to classify people into different categories of social

status, depending on there job and income. It is important to remember that

some of these categories will overlap and some aren't suited to the same

audience, for example prisoners and widowers will not enjoy the same thing

as university students.

THE DEMOGRAPHICS FOR OUR FILM:

Gender- The gender target audience for our film will be both male and female. However it will be mainly females as they will be able to relate to the main character of the film who is female.

Age- The age of the target audience for our film will be 15-25. Social realism films are targeted mostly at teenagers as most of the characters will be teenagers, therefore there are able to make better relationships with the characters and story lines.

Job and income/ social class/ Education - The social class/ job status of target audience for our film will be mostly students In education so therefore they will have part time jobs and a social class of C1/D. On the other hand it could also be people on a lower income with not so great education, as social realism films are based on low struggling family's, in rough areas, therefore making the film more enjoyable to these people as they can relate to them from there real life situations D/E.

Geographical location- The geographical location for our target audience, would be in Britain. As our film is a British social realism film. Therefore British people will understand our film, it will also be filmed in British areas.

Religion- Our film is multicultural due to Britain being a multicultural society.
