For more than 15 years Deep Silver FISHLABS has been creating compelling games that have been brought to life on millions of screens across the globe. We joined the Deep Silver / Koch Media family in late 2013 and, since then, we have continuously raised the quality bar. Today, we are one of three internal development studios run by our parent company, alongside Deep Silver Volition in the US and Deep Silver Dambuster Studio in the UK.

We specialize in high-end 3D games for consoles and PC. With a strong development history and award-winning portfolio of mobile games; such as blockbuster space-action shooter Galaxy on Fire: Manticore and the tactical zombie brawler Dead Island: Survivors; we are currently developing thrilling titles for the PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.

These three words represent the essence of the studio and the brand. The claim clearly communicates the self-conception of the studio and as what it claims to be recognized in public.

About OUR logoFishlabs has gone through a handful of signifi cant changes over the years, most recently completing a transition to a fully fl edged console developer. The symbolism communicated by a creature like the shark, fi ts perfectly to represent a game development company on the leap to a AAA studio. The shark (which is a fi sh if you were wondering) never stops swimming, it is ever moving forward. Its aggressive appearance stands for strength, speed and agility - good qualities of a game studio if you ask us!

Light Dark ColorLight on dark: This is the main version and should be used in all cases when the logo is placed on a dark or noisy background.

Dark on light: This version should be used in all cases when the logo is placed over a light, preferably white background.

Fishlabs blue: In rare cases the logo can be tinted in our own defi ned blue.

part of the FamilyFishlabs joined the Deep Silver / Koch Media family in late 2013 along with Dambuster Studios and Volition. The graphical appearance of our logo closely looks towards the Deep Silver logo while retaining our own unique DNA.

When using our logo in combination with other logos such as the Deep Silver logo, please respect the clearspace guidelines to allow for enough breathing room.

UsageWe’re proud of our logo. Here’s a few simple guidelines to keep everything looking great.

Clear Space Size ALPHA / SOLIDKeep a margin of a third of the background size around the logo to help ensure it’s always looking its best and uncluttered.

Obviously, our logo will get a workout - appearing on various mediums in a bunch of sizes. Primarily though, you’ll see the logo on screens. Whether in our games or on the web the general rule of thumb is to try to keep the logo as legible as possible.

There are two versions of our light and our dark logo: one with a transparent background and one with a solid background. We prefer to use the alpha version if possible.

BACKGROUNDSYou don’t necessarily have to place the logo on solid color. If placing it on noisy backgrounds, make sure to use the right version. Only use the transparent version, if the logo is still clearly defi ned and legible.

DONT’SHey, we put a lot of work in this! So please treat our logo with respect and use it in the right way. By the way: You can’t use the shark seperately from the background and the type - we can, but you cannot ;)

FAUX PASSo here’s the thing, don’t try to get too fancy with the logo. That will help prevent any design faux pas and keeping everything looking as sharp as possible.

Blue, Black, WhiteFor our branding in general, we favor a darker, moodier color scheme. We stuck with a shade of blue, as it resonates with our Hamburg roots and our legacy branding. Black should primarily be used as a background color, often over-laying images to darken them. White is typically reserved for type. Blue is used as an accent color to highlight type or links, but also for secondary graphics like the logo background banner, patterns or iconography.

We’ve chosen two typefaces, Bebas Neue and DIN 2014 Regular, both of which have a good variety of font weights. We use Bebas Neue in our logo, it works great for headline elements, and is very fl exible. We found that DIN 2014 Regular pairs nicely with Bebas Neue and is used primarily for body copy.

Here are some typography tips to keep in mind:Keep the headline 3-5 times larger than the body copy and ensure that the text colors have enough contrast.
