Quarter one is completed and quarter two will be flying by. Be sure to visit our new Google Page: https://sites.google.com/rhnet.org/rhshscounselingcenter/home and continue to monitor your Naviance account and pay close attention to application and scholarship deadlines.

1. Create a complete checklist of test dates, college applications, and scholarship deadlines for you to track.

2. Investigate sources of financial aid and scholarships under the College & Career

Center and college-specific websites. There are many new scholarships listed and new ones being added daily in Naviance. Start applying to the ones you qualify for today. Don't forget to submit a transcript request for each scholarship.

3. If you have not taken the SAT or ACT, or you think you can improve your test scores by

retaking these tests, you can register online for these exams. Pay attention to registration deadlines, photo requirements, or COVID instructions.

4. Make sure you document all of your activities, including clubs, sports, volunteering,

leadership, awards, work, etc. You will need this information when completing your college and scholarship applications.

5. Senior appointment: If you haven't done so already, schedule your senior appointment

as soon as possible with Mrs. Gallagher in the counseling center, you can contact her at 359-5220 or email her at [email protected].
