Simple, Cost-Effective, Real-Time Protection

Continuous, asynchronous, byte-level replication overany distance. Double-Take for Hyper-V monitors changes to all of the files associated with aVM and replicates only the changes to those files. This includes changes to theVM's configuration, its virtual hard disks or even its snapshots. Replicate locallyor to a disaster recovery site as far away as you would like, over standard IPnetworks, for maximum protection against data loss. Improve performance bycompressing the protected data before it is sent and control replication usingbuilt-in bandwidth limiting capabilities.

Auto Discovery and Provisioning.Double-Take for Hyper-V integrates seamlessly with Hyper-V management inter-faces to allows you to see a listing of all virtual machines in the environmentand easily select which workloads to protect. Instead of manually selecting allof the necessary files required to protect and recover a VM, Double-Take forHyper-V automatically discovers where the required files exist and ensuresthey're replicated to the target Hyper-V host. At failover, a new VM is provi-sioned automatically on the target Hyper-V host using the replicated copy of theVM with little or no manual intervention.

Weekend-Free Testing.An organization's disaster recovery plan is only as reliable as the last time itwas tested. Traditionally, however, testing of DR plans has been somethingthat's complex and requires significant downtime. Double-Take for Hyper-Vallows you to bring up a replicated VM in testing mode to make sure it workswithout affecting the production environment and then shut it back down andresume protection of the production workload.
