Bankers Petroleum

We’ve written about Bankers so many times and thank goodness the stock has performed so well. It’s rescued our portfolio from the market collapse and that of many others we assume. Our key was to see insiders such as Abby Badwi and Doug Urch buying the stock at between $0.80 for Badwi and as low as $0.50 for account-ant and Vice President Doug Urch. While some directors of the company have been taking profits, none of the management team has yet to do so. This shot we took of the old Russian and Chinese equipment showing rig after rig as far as the eye can see, go to another valley and once again, hundreds upon hundreds of more rigs—just showed you how big this field could be. The talk is not for a couple of million or couple of ten of millions of barrels, it’s four, six or eight billion barrels. The big question is still, how much is recoverable and when you see it first hand, you believe it. So when does the company get sold?

We note last night’s BNN show featured lots of peo-ple wondering what to do with their Bankers now that it has had such a run. While we admit some of the easy money has been made, we still know the company is for sale down the road as some of the people in Albania would love to have a big company take it over and throw $50 and $100 million a year into the project instead of $20 or $30 mil-lion. There probably won’t be a Chinese or Russian company buying it over though, because folks, in Alba-nia where they have memories of Hoxha, they also have memories of the Chinese and Russians and they are not favorable. But we wouldn’t doubt to see a $6.00 take-over or better down the road. The big question now is, Abby Badwi and his team. Is he happy to retire comfortably? Or suddenly being inundated with requests by all sorts of heavy oil projects all over the Mideast, West Asia and East Europe looking for him and his team to take them over. He might decide he is just having too much in this business and tackle yet another story. In the meantime, Tirex Resources is gearing up to get back at it on their own projects in Albania and while they don’t have the same signature excitement of Bankers, they still do have the tell-tale signs that there is minerals there. Tirex has land holdings the size of a small country and on those land holdings are as many as eight old prison camps where pris-oners had to produce a ton of ore a day. If you didn’t, you went up to the “consultation rooms” for a little consultation...which was never pleasant. Under the rule of Hoxha, tens of thousands of prisoners were found in these mining camps.

Just like Bankers had thousands and thousands of rigs on site to make you a believer, with Tirex there are all these tailing piles from former producing mines in the days of the prison camps. The tailings tell you that there are minerals in those hills. Just how much and what grade?

Tirex Resources

Commodity prices have recovered and when you see all the tailings piles from the old producing prison camps, we suspect Tirex is once again, going to attract attention in the markets now that they are back at work. President Bryan Slusarchuk is shown here looking at old tailings. They believe they have as many as six to eight medium-sized targets to be drilling on this massive property and two or three that could be hum-dingers as far as size. But the drilling will take time and prove or disprove how big and rich some of those plays might be.

Their massive property in Northern Albania is the scene of several old prison camps from the Gulag days and from those old mining camps, there is lots of tailing piles to suggest there is minerals in them thar hills. The question is now, how much and what grade? Bryan Slusarchuk and his team have so many targets on their massive property that what one could wonder what their best course of action could be...joint venture several of their projects? Sell the company to somebody big, or what? But we suspect that this story, like Bank-ers, is going to start attracting attention again as drilling starts on Letitna. Bryan tells us today that five holes have been com-pleted on Letitna and now they start on the important Eastern trend. Like a true believer, he says “everyday they are more convinced of the massive tonnage poten-tial of Letitna.”

Disclosure: Bankers Petroleum: Canaccord Capital covers this stock and has a Hold rating on it. (Hold: The stock is expected to generate risk-adjusted returns of 0-10% during the next 12 months.) Canaccord has recently led financings for Bankers Petroleum and Tirex Resources.

DEB’S DITTY: I love deadlines.

I especially like the whooshing sound they make as they go flying by.

Energold Drilling

Above, see pictures of the Tirex camp close-by their Letitna pro-ject ready to go on the next phase. Just above shows how steep the mountains are in some areas and why the Energold Drilling equipment is so important. It’s light-weight, incredibly portable and can quickly and easily be moved and reassembled and placed in difficult to get to locations.

Now that gold is attracting attention and financings are avail-able, lots more gold, precious metals and base metal companies are going to need their equipment. We see lots of targets on Energold Drilling in the $3.00 - $4.00 area, and Jim Letour-neau’s target is even better.
